Tuesday 29th October 2002 – Day Six

We were up early this morning and it was so foggy. Because of this the Friendship boats weren’t running and they put on Buses to MGM and EPCOT. We were heading out to Chef Mickey’s for breakfast. We got the bus to MK and then caught the monorail to the contemporary. This is a great breakfast for kids noisy and fun! Not too noisy for us though! We enjoyed the food and getting pictures of the characters in their chef gear.

We looked in the shop and found an adult size Cinderella dress – I wasn’t allowed it though! We caught the monorail Back to the MK and looked around Adventureland and went on the Jungle Cruise and Aladin followed by Liberty Square. We did Buzz a few more times, DH still trying to get the highest score. We got a seat near the entrance and stopped to watch the Share a Dream come True parade, which we enjoyed.

We went back to the Boardwalk for a rest and then set off for Downtown Disney. We headed for DisneyQuest. DH loves the arcade style games. We had out dinner and then logged on to The Dis to say Hi to you guys. We built our own roller coaster and rode it, it had lots of loops in it. We attended Animation Academy and tried to draw Pluto. We both enjoy laughing at ourselves doing this. We stopped off for cheesecake – a bit rich for me!
After leaving DQ we shopped for a little while and got the bus back to the Boardwalk.

Wednesday 30th October 2002 – Day Seven

Up very late today. We got a call from Di checking we were having fun. We headed over to EPCOT and the skies were looking grey. We went straight to Leave a Legacy to pick out Steve’s picture and take a photo for him. We went to the camera centre to pick up our picture we had taken the other night. When we left the shop it poored with rain, so we ran into innovations. We did an email Postcard to send home to Alan’s mum. Alan played on the games and I traded pins with the cast member until the rain had stopped.

We left here and went to Canada, I loved the Anne of Green Gables stuff. We chatted with the cast members and then watched O’Canada, which was a good film. Next stop the UK to find CarolynU son – Simon. We met him at one of the Kidcot stops and had a little chat, he loves what he is doing there. I got some chips at the shop – I wanted the Cheddar Cheese Soup but it had bacon in it. We strolled around to France and watched the film here too. Then back to the room for a rest.

We caught the boat to MGM and staked out our spot for the parade. It was great, DH played with Pain and Panic. Then it was off to Beauty and the Beast. The group 4 for a dollar were on before and they were good. We enjoyed B & B it was shorter than I remembered. After this we strolled to Hollywood and Vine for our Fantasmic Dinner Package. We enjoyed having the dinner here – favourite thing was Root Beer Sweet Potato ( I have the recipe now thank to the recipe board). I enjoyed the Red Devil Cake too.

We walked up to Fantasmic and got a good seat. It was brilliant as usual. I also managed to film it all. After this we left MGM. A boat had just left and there was still a big queue so we decided to take the pathway. It only took us 12 minutes to get back to our room – we also beat the boat. This is definitely what to do after Fantasmic. We settled down with some wine and bear to watch The West Wing – my favourite!! We had a message on our phone from DVC reminding us of the Member meeting in the morning.

Another great couple of days here.
