I’ve been putting off writing about this day because…well, it’s the last day. But if I’m ever going to reach my goal of actually finishing a trip report, I need to get this day’s report written, so here goes…

I was up at 7am, even though it had been a late night the night before at Jellyrolls. I had a short workout in the Swan health club then spent some time strolling around the grounds of the Swan. It was at this time that I met another DISer for the first time! I had my fanny pack with lime green yarn tied to the zippers, and a woman walking beside me said, “Lime green? You must be a DISer.” It was Jeancbpugh (hello Jean!! ). I was so excited – I’ve had the lime green yarn on my fanny pack for the past four trips, and this was the first time anyone had noticed it. We chatted for a few minutes about the DIS and about how we enjoyed planning our WDW trips online. She was very nice, and I am so happy to have met her. We’ve chatted through PM’s a couple of times since we’ve gotten home, and I hope that we stay in touch and maybe meet at WDW again some day.

I went back to the room to pack and get dressed. I took my bags to bell services to stow them then walked to MGM at 10am. The walk from the Swan to MGM is very pleasant when the weather is nice. The crowds had been steadily building throughout my visit, and MGM was pretty crowded today. I was really glad that I had already done everything I wanted to do earlier in the trip and was happy with whatever I got to do today. I walked over to RocknRoller Coaster to get a Fastpass then decided to ride Tower of Terror. The standby wait was 40 minutes. I don’t usually wait in line more than 20 minutes for rides, and I had never been on TOT without a Fastpass, but I decided to wait in the standby line. For one thing it would give me a chance to enjoy the theming that I usually miss, and for another thing it would pass the time while I waited for my RNRC FP.

I called DH and caught up with the family while I worked my way through the line. It seemed so long; I can’t believe I used to wait in lines much longer than that when I was a kid and there were no Fastpasses. I’ve really gotten spoiled! The theming was great though.

When I got to the loading area I was paired up with a cute couple who had never been on the ride. When they found out I had been on the ride several times, they were full of questions. The girl was really nervous, but I assured her it was a lot of fun and told her a little of what to expect. After the ride was over, she was smiling and she said it was fun. We were in row 2, the front row on the right. It was so funny, because I had never been in the front row in all the times I rode TOT before this trip, but I was in row 2 every time this trip. I liked it, especially when they open the door and you can see over the whole park. Very cool…

After TOT, it was time for my RNRC FP. I noticed that the standby time for TOT was now 90 minutes. Looks like I got there just in time!

I rode RNRC, enjoying it as much as ever, savoring it because I knew this would be my last ride of the trip. When the ride was over, it was time for me to head out of the park so that I could grab some lunch on the Boardwalk before Florida Tours was picking me up. It was starting to drizzle, so I bought an umbrella (Mickey, of course) on my way out of the park for my walk back to the Boardwalk.

I decided to have lunch at ESPN Club. I had never been there, but my DIS friend Camcolt is a big fan and I figured it would be one of my better choices for dining solo on the Boardwalk. I was right; with all the TV’s going I didn’t feel at all out of place dining alone. Plus the food was delicious (see my dining report on the restaurant board for details).

After lunch, I slowly walked along the Boardwalk, looking at Epcot in the distance, saying goodbye to WDW, for now.

Florida Tours picked me up at the Swan at 1pm. I can’t say enough good things about Florida Tours. They’ve done a great job every time I’ve used them, and I’ll continue to use them for future trips.

My trip home was uneventful, and even the delay at O’Hare wasn’t bad considering it was so close to Christmas. Of course, a few days after I got home I started making plans for my May trip. There’s no better way to get over the post-WDW blues than to start planning your next trip!

She has a LOT of lime green yarn on that fanny pack, LOL.

It was fun to meet you, too. My older DS and I headed right off to MGM right after I saw you, and rode RnRC three times before 10. You should have come with us!

Hey, I just kept adding more yarn until someone finally noticed. :magnify: And it worked, too! :D

You're right - I should've gone to MGM with you. I can never get enough of RNRC. We'll have to do that next time we meet.

Wow, Kaycee. You're going to be there in May? I'm going in May too. I wonder if our trips will overlap. We'll have to meet at Jellyrolls if they do ;)
