tltjet made a nice recommendation for this excursion and I was wondering if anyone else has done it and their opinions. My dh-to-be and I enjoy seakayaking and thought this a fun opportunity. We're not expecting anything challenging, just a fun time out seeing the sights.

Also curious, if you did do the excursion, does it leave first thing in the morning and do you have time to do anything else in Freeport afterwards?

Thanks gang!

Bumping this up just should someone have missed it that can offer an opinion.

sistert,

I did the Freeport kayak excursion in February. It was great fun. The excursion leaves early in the morning and returns late in the afternoon. The ship leaves Freeport pretty early, so this excursion takes your whole day.
The excursion was divided into three parts. You kayak for about 1.5 hours. You spend about 1.5 hours on a great beach and are provided a picnic lunch. You also take a nature hike through the Lucayan National Park, including a cave. The rest of the time is spent getting you to and from the park (it is on the other end of the island). The guides are lots of fun and very informative.
The kayaking is not technical, and takes place in a freshwater mangrove stream. The water is very smooth and shallow for the most part. They issue you a waterproof bag for your valuables.

Have fun!

Looks like we'll probably do the kayak trip then! I think we'll play it by ear in general, but the kayak trip sounds like a hoot!

Thanks again!
