I didn't see anything here about this yet, but I wanted to tell Kathy thanks for her great review of my DVC home, VWL. It made me feel like I was there. I know exactly what she means by the feeling that she gets there. As soon as I walk in the doors, the tension in my body relaxes and I know I'm on vacation! However, I do agree with her for the most part on the Roaring Forks (the food court.) My DD worked at the ASM food court during her college program, and it wins hands down! I do like to go to Roaring Forks in the evening for soft serve ice cream though.

Thanks again Kathy for your glowing review!

Kathy,
Val & I have enjoyed VWL several times and certainly agree that its a relaxing, away from it all, feeling. Like you, we also enjoy dining at AP.

As far as Roaring Fork goes, we've been a bit more fortunate that you in the timing of our visits. Crowding was not a problem when we were there.

It sounded to me like you were in a room very near one we stayed in a year or so ago. When you came in the entrance to the VWL building, did you turn left past the elevators and walk down that short corridor? We were in one of the studio rooms at the end of that corridor one trip. I was convenient to the side door back to the main lodge building.
