I can't be the only one who truly appreciated how cute Kathy was on this week's segment on the WDW construction.

I loved how she is excited for all the different construction to be done and her reasoning...
She can't wait for any part of the Star Wars rumours to come to fruition because "although I haven't seen the movies I know so many others are excited for it, so I am excited for them" (or something to that effect)

I just think this is the most amazing sentiment and makes me want to hug her. She is still so enamoured with WDW and I love how much she loves it, especially for someone who has only been once, lives VERY far away and my only real connection is via the podcast, she keeps that magic alive for me (as do the other members of the team) but she seems as excited about it as someone who has only been once, which I think is awesome.

So Kudos to Kathy!!

Haven't watched this week's show yet (will watch it during lunch hour @ work tomorrow, or while in laundry room tomorrow night) , but I definitely always love Kathy's enthusiasm, her "zest" for it all, her love of Figment (the OLD one, I miss him too!!!!!), and her never-ending love of just "smelling the roses" while being in "her happy place". Had to edit to add her calling the Wilderness Lodge "her good for the soul resort" - that SO describes how it makes me feel thre!! She is a special spirit.

People in my life call me a Disney freak, or say I'm obsessed with Disney, but I'm like Kathy, I'm not necessarily a Disney Movie freak, though I certainly have my favourites, I haven't seen many. I would say I'm actually a bigger fan of the parks, which I think Kathy is too.

Kathy how did you not start watching Disney movies until two years ago!? I don't think I would have ever loved Disney World or Disney if I hadn't seen the films!

The fact that you are Figments champion is also super charming. You also give a lot of people inspiration by doing your runs, keep it going!

Thank you everyone. Not a day goes by that I don't realize just how fortunate I am to live close to WDW.

We didn't grow up watching Disney movies. In fact until 1995 I didn't understand why anyone would ever want to go to WDW. I did watch Wonderful World of Color as a child because of the stories.

I decided when Be Our Guest restaurant opened that there was so much more to the story. Within the first 5 minutes I got just how brilliant the theming in the restaurant was. That started me watching the movies. I didn't need the movies to enjoy the rides, but now that I have seen a number of them it just makes it better.

Up, Bolt, Peter Pan, Enchanted, Brother Bear, Lion King, Finding Nemo, Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, Alladin, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Dumbo, Snow White, Swiss Family Robinson, Cinderella, Toy Story (all) Big Hero 6, Planes 1&2, Monsters U., Frozen, Saving Mr. Banks, Brave, Wreck It Ralph, Cars(all) Tangled.

Gotta say - that's a pretty impressive list! Do you have any "faves"? out of those? I don't usually watch (or care enough to keep track of'/remember) the "live action" stuff myself. My fave is probably Little Mermaid, although I also like Lion King, The Monsters, Beauty & Beast, and a few of the "newer ones" the best. I also recently (within last 6 months) finally saw Princess/Frog, and really enjoyed that.
