Kate Gosselin & Paula Deen doing a talk show together??!! Seems like an odd couple!

I have only heard bits & pieces about this, but am surprised Paula wants to do a show with Kate. Not that I don't like Kate, because I do, but with so much controversy going on with her right now, seems like Paula would (and could) just do her own talk show. She has such a following that I can't see the need to go together with anyone else. Anybody heard any details as to what this show is going to be like?

I had heared about Paula Deen getting her own show and would have watched it, but I had no idea Kate G. was going to be on it! I have no interest whatsoever in her! Darn, was really looking forward to it.

I googled it after hearing about it from a friend and it seems to be true. I wonder though if maybe Paula is just gonna have guest co-hosts like the View does and maybe that's how Kate has gotten in on it. Hopefully, that's the case. They just don't seem to have personalities that would mold together very well.

I don't 'get' the combination of these two together either. I was not impressed by Kate's host skills on 'The View', I am not impressed by her people skills (from watching various video's of her giving lectures, doing book signings, etc.), or her personality. I find her abrasive. I think she is the wrong choice--to much negative media on her right now.
I won't be watching the show. So she has a lot of kids, it doesn't make her a good mother, or for that matter knowledgeable . She is never home now--oh, wait I forgot she keeps saying she is a 'working mother'. All you ever see are photo'd of her leaving Target and some mail pick up place when she IS home. I think the show will go a few episodes and be pulled.

I also have made several remarks about how little she spoke on the View and she seems so cold to me. Like I said, maybe they think Paula has enough personality for both of them, but I can't imagine why Paula would set herself up for a possible failure because of Kate.

From what I've seen, the show is basically "The View" where all the hosts are mom's (a requirement that Paula made). It's not just the 2 of them. There are 5 co-hosts in total. I think some of them will be revolving positions. The show is based on a website, Mom View or something close to that.

Hmm, I have to say I wouldn't watch it. I love Paula but really can't stand Kate (or really, any other reality star who's famous for not much of anything), so I'm pretty sure there'd be no interest on my part. Heck, I don't watch The View either

The woman needs to make a living- I doubt Jon will be raking it in and paying child support. I think the TLC show is on it's way out- I say good for Kate!

She can get a normal job. She has no talent, except for popping out all those kids. Big Deal. She is a nasty woman and I would never watch this show. Hopefully Paula will come to her senses.

Really- don't hold back.

And as far as getting a "regular" job- why should she? If this is offered to her and it's something she is interested in doing- why should she go back to nursing if she doesn't want to or have to?

I'm pretty sure Kate is pretty well set financially. She's made a ton of money off the show, the books, and her public appearances. I don't think this show is really about the money.

And if she really needs a job (which is highly doubtful), she should get a lower profile job for the sake of her kids. It's hard for kids in a normal family to see their parents divorce but this situation is unreal. Somebody needs to put those kids first.

If that is the case- no high profile celebrity should be in the spotlight before during or after a nasty divorce?

And you (or I) have NO IDEA how they are set financially. Most likely there is a mortgage on that house and it is probably significant. She can't make ends meet checking out groceries I'm sure- or a nurses salary for that matter. Not to mention paying for the help to watch the kids. With just one parent available most of the time- they will need help and help that they trust.

I certainly am not going to argue with you over this. It's silly.

But do you honestly think those kids are in a good situation? There is no way this is good for them. They have 2 very selfish parents, in my opinion.

There are kids in a lot worse situations.

I think Kate doing a talk show is better than the whole family being followed by cameras.

I feel sorry for those kids but if she can make a decent living doing a talk show and people actually watch - kudos to her, I'm just glad they stopped taping the kids finally.
