I signed up for Weight Watchers tonight for the 6th time. Why is this time going to work?? I seriously don't know, but I have to keep trying. My first meeting will be on Thursday night, and I am really looking forward to getting back. I have lost weight before with WW (the 1st and 2nd times), so I know that it works.

My weight tonight was 140, but I know it will be lower in the morning. I am going to try to stick with weekly weigh ins, but it's hard to stay off of that scale in the mornings.

I am so tired of feeling full and miserable. I have fibromyalgia, and the extra weight adds to the discomfort. My jeans are tight, and I REFUSE to buy new ones. I have no willpower, and it's hard to restrict myself from comfort food. I just have to keep trying. I ate things today that I really didn't need and wasn't hungry for. I need to find a way to keep myself from eating when I'm not hungry. It's a ridiculous pattern that I need to break. Starting tomorrow morning...
 
Karyn, I am so glad to see you back on WISH. You can do this! Many of the women and men at my meetings (both members and employees) have joined many, many times. The lady that does our weigh in's joined over 20 times. The right time cannot present itself if you don't at least try. You are doing that so that's making your success already halfway there! I too have joined many times, and am currently taking a break but know that the pull of WW, with its healthy plan, support and easy to follow program will draw me back very soon. So good for you. This time will work for you, I am keeping my fingers crossed and know you can do it! Stay strong, come on the WISH often and let us help you do this!

Things are going well so far today. I have a meeting to go to tonight and there will be snacks, so I will just have to be careful! I didn't weigh this morning.

Amy, thanks for the encouragement! I hope that this time I will be able to stick with WW and be successful. The last few times, I got lazy.

Breakfast-60g Frosted Flakes and 1 cup skim milk (3 points)

Lunch-Lean Cuisine Sesame Chicken w/green beans and bell peppers (7 pts)
2 small biscuits that the kids made in Sunday School (3 pts)

Total so far today...13 pts. I have 8 left for the day.

Welcome back? to the journals. I am on WWs too. You are doing great today. You are right, you do need to keep trying. Congrats on going back. Good luck at the meeting tonight.

I finished the night out pretty okay. Not great, but okay.

Dinner-Froot Loops and skim milk (8 pts)

snack-2 crackers, 3 Hershey's Kisses, small spoon of cheese spread, and 1 pecan bar (I'll figure 10 pts just to be safe)

Total...31 pts (21 daily pts plus 10 flex pts)

Beth, thanks for the note! This is actually my 4th WISH journal. I get started and do well for a while, and then get lazy. Hopefully not this time!!!
 
Today was not so hard. I'm getting the hang of this!

Dinner-8 popcorn shrimp (4 pts)
reduced fat Velveeta mac and cheese (6 pts)
can of green beans (0 pts)

You are doing great getting in well with points! You are definitely off to a very strong start. I know you can do this, just keep up the good work and its going to happen. Way to go!!
 
With fibromyalgia, I have days when I hit the wall. Today was one of those days. I woke up wondering where the truck was that ran me over during the night. My first class was cancelled and my 2nd class didn't start until noon. That was good because I could go back to sleep for a little while this morning. I have a paper that has to be turned in tomorrow, so I need to be writing it. Once I get that paper done, I'll be able to relax some.

Breakfast-French toast (13 pts...yikes...but it was so good)

Lunch-Didn't eat...still full from breakfast

Snack-3 Hershey Kisses (2 pts)
6 white chocolate pretzels (3 pts)

Dinner-1/2 cup reduced-fat shells and cheese (4 pts)

Total...22 pts...too many points from snacks today. I just needed some comfort food and they did the trick! I'll do better tomorrow!!
 
I didn't do better today. Tomorrow is my first weigh-in (if the snow holds out and they don't cancel). I don't want to write what I ate, but I will anyway.

Breakfast-grits and 1 pc of 2% cheese (4 pts)

Lunch-(this is where it gets ugly) Tostada with taco meat, lettuce, cheese and sour cream (at least 10 pts)

cheesecake with strawberries (I don't even want to know how many points)

about 10 mini vanilla wafers (4 pts)
 
Karyn, with fibromyalgia, cold weather, school, being a mom and the holidays, its a hard time of year! Don't get discouraged. I know your food choices feel awful, but really and truly it could have been so much worse. Just get back on track, you can do it! I hope today was better, sending some good thoughts your way. Don't give up I know this is THE time for you!:hug:
 
Wow...I'm already starting to fall behind. I've got to do better! Today was another "dragged behind a horse" day. I am so tired and it's only 8:30! Thank goodness for weekends.

Today:

Breakfast-granola bar (4 pts)

Lunch-Lean Cuisine pizza (8 pts)

Dinner-pasta with parmesan cheese (5 pts) and shrimp (5 pts)

Total...22 pts

I didn't get any vegetables in today. I need to work on that.
 
I did well today considering we went out to eat. We went to Des Moines to finish shopping. I did a lot of walking and shivering, so that had to help!!

Lunch-Red Lobster
grilled chicken and wild rice
2 biscuits
salad with ranch dressing and petite shrimp
5 of Jack's shrimp

Snack-2 pecan cookies

Not too terrible. I could have done MUCH worse. Tomorrow, I am making beef stew with very lean beef, carrots, potatoes, and 99% FF Beef stock.
 
I managed very well today. I didn't have time for breakfast, ate a big lunch, stood outside in 14 degree temps ringing a Salvation Army bell for 30 minutes outside of Walmart, and had a snack for dinner. Not bad for a Sunday!

Breakfast-none...did remember to take my Synthroid

Lunch-1 cup of rice (4 pts)
beef stew (8 pts)
breadsticks (9 pts) :scared1:

Dinner-granola bar (4 pts)

Total...25 pts...pretty good considering I ate WAY too many breadsticks.
 
I managed pretty well today. I really want a snack right now, but I'm not hungry. I just want to eat for the sake of eating, and I need to stop that habit. I missed breakfast (again) and was starving by lunchtime. I ate more than I needed to. The beef stew was so good, but I need to get back to Lean Cuisines for lunch. First weigh-in is on Thursday (if the weather allows) and I am not looking forward to seeing the number on the scale. I leave to go home for Christmas in 10 days!! I can't wait to see everyone in South Carolina, but it will be a week-long eating fest. My brother has lost almost 70 pounds using Alli, so I hope seeing him will get me motivated.

Total...21 points...oh I did have a mini Nestle Crunch and 2 Hershey's kisses...I'll add 3 points for a total of 24 points. Still not terrible.
 
Karyn, you are really doing well on your points! You are getting that down pat, now you can slowly start to add more veggies. I need to work on that too! Your stew is a good idea, I made a huge thing of stew to take to my stepdad, I guess I should have saved some for me! That is so nice you did the Salvation Army thing in freezing cold weather! Good for you, that is awesome and I think being in the cold burns more calories so that's good too. Thanks for supporting my journal, we are here for each other and we are going to do this Karyn!

P.S. That is awesome about your brother, good for him.
 
The storm knocked out our power for Tuesday and Wednesday, so I am just now getting everything back to normal. My WW meeting was cancelled (again) last night, but I am doing pretty good. I didn't do so well during the storm becasue it was just too cold and I didn't pay attention to what I was eating. I figured that I could shiver off the extra calories! The 2 days included Pizza Hut (at least they were still delivering), hamburgers at a friend's house, Cheetos, and Little Debbie brownies. I felt really bloated on Wednesday morning, but I am getting back to normal.

Yesterday...

Breakfast-none. I hit the ground running

Lunch-a Kid Cuisine with a cheeseburger, fries, corn, and fruit snacks (8 pts)

Dinner-chicken fries from Schwan's and mayo (10 pts)

Total...18 pts

My weight was down this morning, but it was because I didn't have many chances to eat yesterday!
 
Good job on staying within points Karyn! Bummer about the power, don't you just love winter? Hope this weekend is a good one for you, keep up the good work!
