Diane—David’s mom

We woke up early to head to the Magic Kingdom to do a sprint around to all of the Mountain. Michael went to get Fast Passes for Thunder Mountain while Linda, Rob, Catie and I went on Space Mountain. We made plans to meet Michael at Jungle Cruise. The Jungle Cruise didn’t open until 10:00, so we had 20 minutes to kill before we could ride it. We decided to take another ride on the Pirates of the Caribbean, and then got in line for the Jungle Cruise. We had an excellent skipper, and the kids loved it.

We went to Big Thunder Mountain for our Fast Pass return time, but the ride was shut down due to Technical difficulties. We walked around looking for Michael, who was skipping the ride. We couldn’t find them, and then realized that Thunder Mountain was opening it. There was no one in line, so we decided to hold on to our Fast Passes and get in the standby line. We were on the ride in about five minutes. We then went to ride on Splash Mountain. I had some special Fast Passes a cast member gave me when I was at Disney World in December, so we didn’t have to wait in the line. After Splash Mountain, we went back to use our Fast Passes for Thunder Mountain, our final ride together. Michael took some pictures of us while we were on the ride.

We shopped for a bit, and then went to catch the boat back to the Polynesian. Linda, Michael, and the kids had to be at the train station in Sanford by 2:00. I walked them to their car, and gave the kids lots of extra hugs and kisses. I waited for their car to drive off before heading to the monorail to go to Epcot.

I went to lunch at Nine Dragons. I got some yummy pork pot stickers, followed by General Tso’s chicken. I really enjoyed my lunch. It was one of the best meals I had on my trip.

I then walked to the International Gateway to go check into the Beach Club. I was in room 4552. My room was really cute. It had a queen sized bed and a couch. The bedspread was beautiful—it had ovals all over it, and there were designs of Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto in different beach scenes in the ovals. There was a desk that had a table that pulled out from under it, and an adorable Mickey Mouse desk lamp (Mickey was dressed in an old fashioned bathing suit and sitting on a lifeguard chair). My room had a balcony with two tables and a chair. I could see Spaceship Earth and the Imagination Pavillion through the trees form my balcony.

I put on my bathing suit so I could check out the pool. It was really awesome. I had a lot of fun swimming around it. I didn’t try the slide, though. I’m not a great swimmer, and I don’t like going down fast slides that tend to throw you under the water.

I went back to the room to get ready to go to dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s. I was on the silver package for this portion of my trip, so I made plans to have some good meals while I was there. The food at Wolfgang Puck’s was very good. I started off with a pepperoni pizza. It was really yummy. I only ate about half of it because I wanted to save room for my entrée and dessert. I had a delicious filet mignon in a three peppercorn sauce, and some awesome garlic mashed potatoes. The meat was sooooo tender. I got a dessert sampler for dessert. It included chocolate cake, key lime pie, and cheesecake. All of the desserts were fantastic.

I had about an hour to kill before I would be able to meet my sister Marie and Michelle. They were staying at the Port Orleans Riverside, so I decided to take the boat there to meet them. This boat ride is very relaxing. There were only four passengers on the boat, so we all had a great time chatting with our driver. When my boat pulled into the Port Orleans, I saw Marie and Michelle walking to the boat dock, so I called them. They got on the boat, and we went back to Downtown Disney. We were meeting Michelle’s friend David and his mom Diane at Disney Quest.

David and Diane were running late, so I took Michelle into Disney Quest while Marie waited for Diane and David. Michelle and I did the Mighty Ducks Pinball game, and road on the Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters. Marie, David, and Diane got there while Michelle and I were on the Astroblasters, so they got in line to ride it. When Michelle and I got off the ride, Michelle got in line to ride again. I wound up skipping the second ride.

We then went down to ride on the Virtual Jungle Cruise. The kids road with Diane, and I rode with Marie. Marie and I were laughing throughout the ride, and had a great time. We then went upstairs to ride on the Alien Encounter ride. Marie sat this out to go in search of food, which she never found. The kids did Ride the Comix while Marie, Diane, and I sat and gabbed. We then went to get in line to ride on Cyber Space Mountain, and then Disney Quest closed, so we headed back to our hotels.
