Me (Karen)Planner of the trip and family Disney nut
I woke up at 6:30 to get ready for my traditional last day thrill ride marathon. I was surprisingly awake considering that I had been up until 3:30 after spending the evening at Jellyrolls. I knew I had to be up early if I wanted to get in all the thrill rides I wanted to ride before leaving Disney World. I had to be at MGM for early entry to accomplish everything I hoped to accomplish. I quickly got ready, and finished packing. I had a bellmen pick up my luggage, and started to walk to MGM, stopping to take some pictures of Jellyrolls along the way.
I got to MGM a few minutes after eight, and immediately went to the Rock N Roller Coaster. The outside waiting area was already packed, so I grabbed a Fast Pass and went to the Tower of Terror. They only had two elevators open, so the line wound up being close to 30 minutes. I had the most thrilling ride Ive ever had on Tower of Terror. We went up to the top four times. I really love the new special effects on the ride.
I had twenty minutes to kill before my Rock N Roller Coaster Fast Pass return time, so I walked to Starring Rolls and got a chocolate crossant. It was very good. I then rode on the Rock N Roller coaster, and left the park to head to the Magic Kingdom to get a final ride on Splash Mountain, and take pictures of some of the windows on Main Street.
The next stop on my thrill ride marathon was Epcot. I rode on the front of the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot, which was fun. It was just me and two cast members in the front (and only one other passenger in the entire monorail), so it was fun chatting with them. I took the monorail to Epcot, and headed straight to Test Track. I used the purple ticket I got the night before when they closed the ride down because of a storm. I was hoping to ride Mission: Space one more time, but the Fast Pass time wasnt going to work for me, and the Single Riders line was too long, so that would have to wait for another trip.
I wanted to be back at the Beach Club by noon so that I could grab lunch at Beaches and Cream before my 1:15 Tiffany Towncar pickup time. I sat at the counter at Beaches and Cream. I was using a Connections voucher for my meal. I ordered a cheeseburger. It was just OK, but I wasnt expecting it to be great because most burgers at Disney arent very good. I ordered a three scoop hot fudge sundae for dessert, and it was delicious. There was so much ice cream that I could only eat half of it.
Jerry from Tiffany Towncar was right on time picking me up. Jerry seemed to enjoy hearing all about my trip, and said he wanted to try some of the restuarants I ate at. I was sad to be leaving Disney World to go back to reality.
