We want to take the kids for a short 3 night trip this summer. We've been to the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason Ohio twice and the kids love it.

I was looking at Kalahari in Sandusky also. We were there about 2 years ago (before the expansion) and DS loved it but DD who was 2 at the time had virtually 2 slides to ride. DD is 4 now but not above 42 inches. Has anyone been there recently and do you know if there is more now for the littler kids?

DD is a daredevil . At GWL she was able to ride everything excluding the coaster with an adult. I know Kalahari isn't like that, but I hoped there would be more then 2 kiddie slides. I called the waterpark directly and they were no help.

Just wondering should we stick with GWL in Mason or go to Kalahari? Also anyone have any hidden codes for Kalahari, its alot pricier then GWL?

We took the kids to the Kalahari during our March Break. The new addition is fantastic and there was a whole new play area for little kids (several slides, some spraying flowers etc). The other new slides were great too. We hope to go back next March b/c we had such a great time. (our little boy was 3 and our friends daughter was 2.5....plus we had 7-10 year olds)

We went to Kalahari in Feb. The new addition is great. Be warned that there is a big game room that you have to go through to get to the pool area. So if your kids like games, bring cash. There is a pottery place, animal stuffing place, and mini golf. Don't forget to bring socks for the ball pit.

Bring your snacks, drinks, and food from home, as dining is quite pricey. You can't bring your own food to the pool area, but you can eat in your room. There is a microwave and fridge in every room.

My kids spent a lot of time in the wave pool. My oldest daughter went to GWL and said Kalahari is much better. Let me know if you have any questions I can answer for you!
