After trip pre-trip report

Just a little info before I begin the trip report. Which by the way I am sorry I could not come up with some witty name for my report, I really tried wanting this to be a good report but it has not come to me yet. My past trip report which I am ashamed I never finished (from June 05 was Kakiegirl’s series of unfortunate events). It was a pretty fitting name considering our luck that trip. We were staying at Fort Wilderness campground for the first time. Well one week before leaving DH’s truck broke down, it was the transmission. Yuck $1,500.000 there went all of our spending money we had worked so hard to save. Then while setting up our camper at Fort Wilderness DH fell and sprained his ankle. He was a trooper though and hobbled around in pain all week just so me and DD could have a great trip. Then our truck broke down again waiting to get into Animal Kingdom to eat at Donald’s Breakfastosarus. This is where I Kakiegirl the mom had a meltdown at Disney, so many bad things had happened when the truck went dead I begin to cry talking about how miserable our luck had been I also am ashamed to say I hit my hand on the door of the truck one time. We were so looking forward to our breakfast and we had just a little bit of spending money left and only half the week gone. Here we are in Florida and our truck is broke down in the middle of the road. DD looked at me in shock and decided wow this must really be bad and she began to cry also. Well I must say I am really impressed with Disney a van came driving up within minutes probably less than two I was still having my meltdown. (of course I guess they don’t like vehicles blocking one of the entrance lanes to their parks). Anyway as he pulls up DH has lifted the hood on the truck and he informs him that he can’t work on the truck here DH they will either tow it back to the campground for us to work on it or to the Disney garage DH decides to go with the Disney garage just in case he couldn’t fix it. By this time I am down to just teary eyes and sniveling. I look at DH and say we are going to miss breakfast at Donald’s Breakfastosarus. The man looks at me and never misses a beat like he is used to seeing grown women crying over Donald’s Breakfastosaurs. Disney Security man looks at me kindly and says mam I will get you to your breakfast with Donald. Before I know it Disney Security man (my hero) had whisked me and DD into his van radioed someone else to come and wait with DH until the tow truck got there and then bring DH to Animal Kingdom. Disney security man let me and DD off right at the main entrance to AK and assured us they would seat us for breakfast even though we were late. Then on the way home our truck broke down again on the Florida Turnpike. Anyway, to make a short story long besides all that we had a great trip. So all that was to say that this trip was nothing like that it was a very uneventful trip which to us was a great thing (um except for the incident where I almost got DH in a fight on the bus). That will come up later actually on day two so not too long to wait. So I could call the trip report Kakiegirl’s uneventful trip which is a great thing to me but would probably sound pretty boring to anyone just surfing through the trip reports.

So now back now to your regularly scheduled after trip pre-trip report already in progress (I do get off track sometimes) DH has insisted that we take turns picking where to go on vacation. So every other year I pick Disney and the next year he picks somewhere different just because he felt we need some variety. Well so it June 06 and we are camping at Stone Mountain Park in Georgia. We are on the boat riding over to the park one day at the first of our vacation and DH looks at me and says “I wish we were at Disney” , me too I say, me three DD chimes in so he finally admits he loves Disney as much as us and for now until we get ready to do something else there will be no more of this every other year non-sense. Yeah, but that did me no good right then I am still a year away from my happy place. So as soon as we get home from vacation I call and book our Disney vacation for June 07 at that time I could only book room only, so I book as a room for All Star Movies, then as soon as the packages come out we book with a package and the Dining plan for our first time. I am so excited October comes around and we make a quick two day trip to Disney using an old park hopper we had one day left on. We stayed at Pop Century and did three parks in one day. We had a blast and hopefully that will get me by until June. December comes around and I make our Dining reservations, yeah. January comes around we get our income tax refund and pay off our trip, yeah. May comes around and my boss finally decides he wants me to get the girl who used to work with me (who moved to Florida) to come work for me that week because we have a trial coming up (I work for an attorney). I call her and she can’t come that week. I inform my boss and he smiles at me so sweetly and evil at the same time, I know what is coming. “ Can she work another week? “ , “ Yes she said she could work any other week in June but that one.: “Would it be possible for you to change your vacation” “Change my vacation?, oh I don’t know DH would have to change his too and then I have made all of our dining reservations, and I don’t even know if I could get a room for that week”, “Could you just try, I will make it worth your while”. So I called DH and he was okay with it, so we changed our dates from the third week in June to the first week in June. We still got a preferred room at ASMovies and all of our dining reservations pretty close to the original times and all on the same days except CRT it was originally for Wed. and we were to do the Bibidi Boutique right before. Well the only day we could get it that week was Saturday but I was just thankful to get it at all. So all the plans are made, and now we only have four weeks to wait until our vacation begins. Well two weeks before vacation our best couple friends call and want advice on Disney, they have a son who is 6 and we have been trying to get them to go forever. Well they are only going for three nights but they are going the same time we are and staying at ASMovies. I am a little excited and a little apprehensive it will be fun watching them at Disney for their first time and showing them the ropes, and DD will love having someone to play with, but we have never tried to do Disney with anyone else before. So now we just wait and we will be off to Disney June 2nd -10th.
