When we were there in Nov 2004, Wonder of Life Pavilion in Future World was completely Closed for Renovations.......
What ever Happened to it ???? And is there anything Good There ???
It Seems Some of the pavilions were getting outdated....
Any Comments/Feedback please !!
THANKS :sail: :goofy:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Wonders of Life has been open for over a year. It is not because of renovations, at least not for that particular attraction, but it just was closed due to an apparent lack of interest.

I don't think you will ever see it open again, at least not in the form you remember.

:sad2: :guilty:

It was open when we were there over Christmas (this year -- 2005). We were soooo excited! My son (now 10) pronounced Body Wars his new favorite ride in Epcot. Too bad he'll probably never get to ride it again. But everything in the pavillion looked pretty much the same. We went on Cranium Command (one of MY personal favorites since I teach adolescents) and Body Wars. I miss this pavillion a bunch I wish they'd keep it open or do something nice with it.

Are most of the Pavilions Getting "Old" ???? :confused3

Wonders of life was getting old. Thats why it is closed. SpaceShip Earth, the Land, the Universe of Energy, Mission: Space, Test Track and Imagination are far from outdated. The only pavilion besides WOL that was getting outdated was the Living Seas and that is being redone as we speek.

not sure if this is the reason... I had read that the company that used to sponsor the Wonders of Life pavillion stopped sponsoring it. That's the reason it hasn't been open... too expensive to run w/o a sponsor.

Disney calendar for EPCOT July 2006 says it will be open the week of July 4.
I agree it closed because they lost the sponsor. Disney opens it up when the parks are crowded to help disperse the tons of people.

Very true. Although if an attraction is popular Disney will continue to operate it even after a sponsor drops out. SSE is a prime example. Wonders of Life had not been well attended in a long time. Thus it did not make sense to operate the pavillion.

Interesting.......
I hope something really great is in the works for that space....
So it is just covered up with construction walls or something ??
Well, I guess time will tell with what becomes of the space... :wave2:

There are no construction walls. The entrance path is blocked by about a dozen large planters.

Corporate sponsorship ended in 2001.
