Just Wondering: Were you proposed to at Disney World?

DF and I had talked about marriage for awhile, but there was no way I thought he was going to propose this past May. I didn't think he had a ring or that he was ready. So five days into our 10 day trip we had spent the whole day at the pool at POR. After dinner that night we went on a carriage ride around the resort and he kept saying how he wanted to propose on this trip because he knew WDW was the perfect place to propose to me. And I kept getting freaked out because 1. I wanted him to propose to and I was upset he wouldn't be, and 2. I was getting uncomfortable with the driver over hearing us. So we finish the ride and start taking a long, lazy walk back to our room. Outside of our room in the courtyard was this HUGE fountain all lit up and night and I just thought it was the most gorgeous thing. So I ran up to it and handed him the camera and asked him to take my picture. He did, but he was fidgeting, and then runs up to me and says, 'wait a minute'. And he turns me to face him, and all I thought he was doing was posing me for a better shot. The next thing I know he is down on one knee saying this romantic speech and then, 'Will you marry me?' and pulls out this gorgeous ring. I was in shock! I think I actually said, 'Are you serious!?!' about 15 times before I could say yes! LOL Then later back in our room when he was telling me about how he went about pulling off the huge surprise, one of the things he told me is that he had called Disney to arrange a proposal with their help, and everything they suggested (dinner at CA Grill, during Wishes at the fountain, etc.) he shot down. And finally he was like, 'Listen, she LOVES Disney and has every day planned out. AND she reads the Dis Boards!!! If I try to do any of these she will know immediately what is going on. I need something different!' LOL how great is that!?!

My boyfriend proposed to me at midnight, on one knee outside the Castle last December. It was the end of Mickey's VMCP and it had been raining, so the park was pretty empty by the end of the night, and we watched a Xmas show on the stage in front of the castle.

He'd been into a shop earlier in the day and I thought he'd bought a t-shirt... but he had actually bought a pair of wedding ears which he got out of the bag when he got down on one knee, and gave them to me instead of a ring. (we bought a ring together the next day!)

The funny bit is that I was really tired, wet and grumpy, and I thought he was trying to take yet another picture, so I was jsut starting to have a real grump at him when he proposed ooops! So I shut up, said yes, and gave him a huge kiss.

We are getting married in the Wedding Pavillion on his brithday next year - May 24th - and he is just as excited as me!
