Just when you thought you've seen all the MAGIC! **See Page 95 for PTR!!!!**

I lurked for months before making my first post here on the DIS in November of 2008. I have met so many nice and caring people who all have the same love of Disney that I ended up with. While I am not the greatest writer, I wrote my first trip report and I really enjoyed myself. It was so fun to relive the trip and also to write down our memories to have forever. It was also fun writing PTRs and telling about our plans and to have people's input to help plan.

For this trip, there was no PTR- I kept the trip a secret till 3 days before we left. I did contact a few DIS friends to set up a few meets while we were there. It was hard keeping the countdown calendar that Melody made a secret...

It was even harder staying quiet when we received Mickey Mail!

Saturday March 5th

Our Indiana friends (Dave, Branda, Alex & Victoria) had already made their drive to Florida by noon and spent the afternoon watching the Mets take on the Braves at the Wide World of Sports. They were renting a house with Dave's parents who arrived in the evening by plane.

At 6pm, the night before we were leaving, I hopped on the computer to print out our POP reservation when I noticed our room was booked from March 9-13. That had to be a mistake. When I originally called Disney reservations, I booked the room till Monday the 14th. Lets just say it got a little stressful in our house. I immediately called Disney and found out there was no availability at POP. The only rooms available were at AKL, the Poly, WL, and the GF starting at $540! If I booked one night there, it would of cost more than the 4 nights at POP!

I thanked the wonderful CM on the phone and told her I'd call back- I had to think this over. I opened the last Mousesavers newsletter and I found a room for $115 dollars. Score! It was right next to DTD and we wouldn't have to spend our last night in Florida sleeping in a rental car. LOL Crisis averted! We finished up packing and we were ready to go!

Sunday March 6th

We were up bright and early for our drive to the airport. Juliana was excited to pull off her last Mickey head.

Our CT friends (Bill, Jamie, and the girls) were leaving at 6am for their drive down to Florida. They were going to arrive in Disney on Monday while we were heading to Bradenton till Wednesday. We texted them and wished them safe travels.

Mel's father drove us to the airport and getting through security was a breeze. It wasn't long before we were eating a wholesome breakfast at McDonald's (wow that was hard to write with a straight face!)

The hallway to the terminal.....

Waiting for the plane.

IMAG0400.jpg

Our flight to Tampa was on time and before we knew it we were boarding and ready to go! Of course, Puppy had to take the flight with Ana.

DSC01522.jpg

We flew on Delta, so we missed out on the TVs in the seats like Jetblue has but Juliana had her DVD player.

DSC01523.jpg

Besides a few minor bumps, the flight was smooth and before we knew it we were landing in Tampa.

DSC01525.jpg

The airport in Tampa has a fake monorail just like MCO.

DSC01526.jpg

Last time we flew into Tampa we had to take a shuttle to the rental cars but they have since moved them into the airport which was really nice. After picking up our bags, it was a walk across the street to the Alamo. (just like at MCO) Picking up the car was a breeze and we were off for our hour drive to Bradenton to visit with Mel's grandfather for the first few days of our trip. On the drive, we past probably the ugliest building in all of sports- Tropicana Field.

DSC01527.jpg

We continued on our drive and texted Bill & Jamie to tell them we had arrived in Florida. They had just gotten into Delaware and I think they were a little jealous we were looking at Palm trees while they were looking at close to 1000 more miles on the road.

Up next... Our 3 Florida days before we hit I4

Great update Tim!!! What a scare to find you were short a day !!:scared1:We are stying at the Country Inn and suites our first night as the plane fare was cheaper on Thursday than Friday !!While we wont have long there , we will at least arrive at POP a whole lot less tired than our usual 4 am start day !!

Awesome update but wow that must have been a scary moment realizing you ddin't have a hotel room for your last night.

Juliana is adorable as always and I can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

OOOOhhh what a scare with the room. Glad you made it work.

I lurked for about a year before I dared to post. I too have enjoyed posting and interacting with everyone I have "met" here and those I have been fortunate to meet in the happy place and a couple who live nearby. :goodvibes

Loved the breakfast at McD. I also liked the Tampa airport. Spend a good deal of time there when I lived in Clearwater for about a year. :goodvibes Glad you got your car and can't wait to hear more.

:woohoo:Yay for an update! I'm sure it had nothing to do with all the gentle nudging here, huh?:confused3;)

Mel did a great job on the countdown calendar! Ana looks just a teensy bit excited to pull off that last Minnie head! Look at her sunshiney little face!
DSC01519.jpg

Ok, did you have a mini heart attack about your mix up with the Pop room reservation?!?! Good grief, that would've stressed me out. I'm glad Mousesavers saved the day though! I get their newsletter too:thumbsup2.

Aww, Puppy came with you! Yay! And if I'm not mistaken, Mel has her gorgeous Dooney & Bourke Disney purse too! Boy your girls packed all the essentials, didn't they.:goodvibes
DSC01522.jpg

Look at your sweet girls on the fake monorail! This is a really sweet picture of them together.
DSC01526.jpg

Great start!:goodvibes

I cannot believe that I am actually awake for an update, Tim.

Ana is such a seasoned little traveler now. It's like, "follow me, mom"--I know exactly where I'm going and what I'm doing.

Glad you didn't have to sleep in the car the last night in Floirda. ;)

/
:lmao:I was going to write "I'll bet Kat is excited because she's awake to see your update!"

And the only reason I was is because our Blackhawks went into overtime in a must win game. And they WON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now to Game 7 to get to the next round. :)

First of all, Happy Easter, Tim!!!

Lovely update of your travels. So cute that Puppy had to go! :goodvibes

GREAT that you got a room for $115!! That's Nice! Sleeping in a rental car sux, I know.

What? Pancakes have flour. :lmao:

I bet you can't wait to take your son to his first Yankees game. I just bought DH and Jack there first tickets for Easter. Jack is so excited. Granted they are for a game @ Camden Yards but hey, it's closer to use and ALOT cheeper. :rolleyes1 Some day we"ll get back to the Bronx.
I've never been to Camden Yards but I hear it is a beautiful park. What a great Easter present! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

does this mean an update ...fingers crossed ....
::yes::

Cute comforter! Have a wonderful Easter and hey...look...the sun is FINALLY shining! :goodvibes
Thanks Tina! I know, it was such a treat seeing the sun this morning- until the rain came back this afternoon. :sad2:

Juliana loved this! :goodvibes

No more teasin; I'll be good.;)

Riiiigggggghhhhtttttttt! :lmao::lmao:

Yikes about the room! I'm glad you were able to get a room for a somewhat ok price at the last minute. Sleep in the car?? That's crazy. I would've offered you my other room or at least tell you which hotels are decent off Disney property for a good price.

:rotfl: Molly beat me to mentioning about Mel's purse but I do hope we get to hear later on in the TR that she got something to match it. :rolleyes1

I never get tired of seeing Ana's smiley face. She's so adorable. :goodvibes I can't wait for the baby so we can see cute baby smiley faces.

eCardHoppyEaster2-greenLWcp.jpg

Loved the Mickey comforter !!!! I like both Michael and Joseph !!!
Thanks Rosie! I think Mel is leaning towards Michael. :)

:welcome: Thanks for the Easter wishes! I hope you had a great Easter too!

This is for princess:Ana:

tiggereasater.jpg
Thanks Kat! Ana loved all the Easter gifs!

Tim...and this is why I love your TR. Have a bad day..come here and you laugh your butt off. Oh...and seeing your beautiful family...if we ever get a post from you;).
I'm glad you can laugh a little here! I laugh a lot (when I'm not getting yelled at!) :rotfl2::rotfl2:

There is an update tonight.... just to calm everyone down for a day or two! :rotfl2:

When I first clicked on this TR, I was confused as to why the TOC post was unedited. Now I see why.
The intro has me very intrigued. Subbing.
:welcome: Thanks for reading!!!! I updated the TOC! ;) We are just getting started!

A happy easter from the UK :goodvibes Looking forward to an update on your trip
:welcome: Thanks for joining!!! Happy Easter to you as well! :goodvibes

Happy Easter to Tim, Mel, Princess Juliana and.........little Marv!!! ;) :rainbow:
LOLOLOL Little Marv! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Happy Easter Marv!!!!!

Better stick with Christopher Tim.:thumbsup2
:lmao: :lmao:

I KNOW! RIGHT?!?
RIGHT! :rotfl2: Page 13! :thumbsup2

I hope you are having a marvelous Easter. I LOVE the name Christopher..we thought about that for Christian (MANY years ago now).
LOVE the bedding as well, Mel has excellent taste!
We hada wonderful day... we started with an egg hunt in the house, church, then had some family over. You'll be happy to know that I did the cooking today!

I like the name Christian. :thumbsup2

Whew.... I finally logged back on and my face went like this :scared1: when I realized you started and had so many pages. I thought for sure I was WAY behind. :rotfl: .... although I should know better.
Come on.... you know me by now! :lmao:

I love the name Christopher because its close to my name.
:worship:

Ok so after reading Molly's comment about the Peeps, I think you should send all of your follower's an image to put in their siggies with a Peeps that says 'Tim's Peeps'. :rotfl: And no, I am not volunteering to do it - I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to do it.
Now that isn't a bad idea! But there is only one Peep master here on the DIS... Jordan. He has some of the funniest TRs around- although he has been off the DIS now for close to a year.

I wanted to wish you, Mel, Princess Ana and Baby Christopher a Happy Easter!!
Thank you! I hope you had a wonderful Easter too!

I was in your old neck of the woods on Thursday. I had to drive to LI to pick up some cases in Holbrook.

DisneyHappyEaster.gif

(Yes, I know I posted this on Lisa's TR but I thought Ana would get a kick out of them because they move).
She loved all the gifs... I showed them to her before she went to bed. :goodvibes

Happy Easter!
Thank you!!!! I hope you had a Happy Easter too! :goodvibes

I'll weigh in on the baby name game. I think you should name your little guy Parker and that Dan and candi should have a little girl and name her Juliana.....then I will get totally confused on what trip report I'm reading! :rotfl:
WOW! Now I an confused! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That would be crazy! :scared1: :rotfl2:

My head would explode from being confused.
::yes::

Now of course i am partial to Christopher and his middle name is Patrick because in part he was born on St. Partick's Day. He was supposed to be Christopher Thomas.
I like Christopher Thomas. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

(and Christopher Patrick too!) ;)

I was in shock at 4 pages to catch up but still no update?!?!? kidding I know life is busy but I am caught up now.
Glad you are caught up! Now read my update!!! :rotfl2:

Great update Tim!!! What a scare to find you were short a day !!:scared1:We are stying at the Country Inn and suites our first night as the plane fare was cheaper on Thursday than Friday !!While we wont have long there , we will at least arrive at POP a whole lot less tired than our usual 4 am start day !!
Lets just say Mel almost killed me! :scared1: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's what I get for not checking the confirmation email.

That sounds like a great plan! Then you will have a good night sleep before hitting the parks! :goodvibes

Awesome update but wow that must have been a scary moment realizing you ddin't have a hotel room for your last night.
When they told me what was available I was like this  :scared1:

I almost thought of booking a night at AKL just to wake up to see the animals. :rotfl2:

Juliana is adorable as always and I can't wait to hear more:goodvibes
awwww thanks! :goodvibes

OOOOhhh what a scare with the room. Glad you made it work.
Hey! You're back! :lmao::lmao: Yes, it was a scare! :scared1:

I lurked for about a year before I dared to post. I too have enjoyed posting and interacting with everyone I have "met" here and those I have been fortunate to meet in the happy place and a couple who live nearby.
It is a little intimidating at first but I got the hang of it. I learned pretty quickly what NOT to talk about! :rotfl:

I think I have met... 14 DISers. It was a pleasure meeting them all. :goodvibes

Loved the breakfast at McD. I also liked the Tampa airport. Spend a good deal of time there when I lived in Clearwater for about a year. :goodvibes Glad you got your car and can't wait to hear more.
They did a lot of work on TPA since we were there last year. It is really nice now. :goodvibes

:woohoo:Yay for an update! I'm sure it had nothing to do with all the gentle nudging here, huh?
No... nothing to do with that... :rolleyes1

Mel did a great job on the countdown calendar! Ana looks just a teensy bit excited to pull off that last Minnie head! Look at her sunshiney little face!
DSC01519.jpg
After I made the last few countdown calendars, Mel took over for this one. She did a great job. She is just as big as a Disney nut as I am... she just doesn't post here. ;)

Ok, did you have a mini heart attack about your mix up with the Pop room reservation?!?! Good grief, that would've stressed me out. I'm glad Mousesavers saved the day though! I get their newsletter too
It was a stressful night for about an hour before I found a room. I'll leave it at that. :rotfl2:

Well, there is more to the story... that will come up later in this TR.. :rolleyes1

Aww, Puppy came with you! Yay! And if I'm not mistaken, Mel has her gorgeous Dooney & Bourke Disney purse too! Boy your girls packed all the essentials, didn't they.
DSC01522.jpg
Puppy always comes with us... but she doesn't come to the parks with us.. We CANNOT afford to loose her.

Mel was sporting her D&B Disney purse. ;) ::yes::

Look at your sweet girls on the fake monorail! This is a really sweet picture of them together.
DSC01526.jpg
I like it too.. thanks for posting. :goodvibes

I cannot believe that I am actually awake for an update, Tim.
I hooked you up! :lmao:

Ana is such a seasoned little traveler now. It's like, "follow me, mom"--I know exactly where I'm going and what I'm doing.
She knows the routine so well. The first time I was on a plane wasn't until I was 19 or 20.. she has been on about 14 flights already. :lmao:

Glad you didn't have to sleep in the car the last night in Floirda.
Me too... I would of slept in the parking lot so I wouldn't have to pay for parking again. :lmao:

First of all, Happy Easter, Tim!!!
Thank you Liesa! This morning was amazing. It was so foggy this morning then the sun poked through and warmed it up to about 73 before the clouds came back in the afternoon. We haven't seen the sun here in days. It was a perfect Easter morning. :goodvibes

Lovely update of your travels. So cute that Puppy had to go!
I think I'm gonna be sad when Puppy DOESN'T make the trip with us. :sad1: :rotfl2:

GREAT that you got a room for $115!! That's Nice! Sleeping in a rental car sux, I know.
The price wasn't horrible.... it wasn't as cheap as POP with my discount though. ;)

So... you've slept in a rental car before? popcorn::

What? Pancakes have flour.
I had an egg mcmuffin though I didn't take a picture of it. :sad2:

Yikes about the room! I'm glad you were able to get a room for a somewhat ok price at the last minute. Sleep in the car?? That's crazy. I would've offered you my other room or at least tell you which hotels are decent off Disney property for a good price.
Thanks!!!! It all worked out in the end- but different than I thought it would. ;)

Molly beat me to mentioning about Mel's purse but I do hope we get to hear later on in the TR that she got something to match it.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAA :rolleyes1

I never get tired of seeing Ana's smiley face. She's so adorable. I can't wait for the baby so we can see cute baby smiley faces.
Awwww... thanks! :goodvibes

Another round of adorable pictures of Ana. I wish Max were even remotely interested in posing for pictures. :sad2: But what should I expect, he is a boy, after all!

That McDonald's looks strangely familiar.... :rolleyes1 Weren't you the one who pointed out to me at the beginning of my TR that there is a DD just down the hall, closer to the gates? :rolleyes1

Ana looks like such an experienced traveler, rolling her suitcase along behind her.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and got to enjoy the beautiful weather we had today...finally! :goodvibes

Oh, and I have to ask...how'd Mel make the adorable Mickeyheads for the countdown calendar? We have another one coming up and Max has made it quite clear that he would like a calendar again and while I could just more or less re-do the one I made for February, I'm also looking for some new ideas.

Yeah, an update!

I love your Countdown calendar and that you were able to get a good deal on the last hotel night!

Juliana looks so cute in all the photos and I really adore her smile! Warms my heart!

....... and I love the fact that Melody was bringing her Dooney! :rotfl2: Okay, I will be patiently waiting for the next update! :thumbsup2

We hada wonderful day... we started with an egg hunt in the house, church, then had some family over. You'll be happy to know that I did the cooking today!
Sounds like a FUN relaxing day and good for you for doing the cooking!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Wish you would teach Pete. :lmao::lmao: He DOES make good pancakes...when he will do it! :rotfl2:
I like the name Christian. :thumbsup2
Me too! :goodvibes OBVIOUSLY!! ;)

I love how you are going back and sharing a bit of Pretrip info with us, since there wasn't a PTR! I disagree, you are a great writer and are wonderful at sharing pictures, especially of your pretty ladeis! :flower3:

I love the countdown calender, its so sweet, that reminds me, I still need to make one :rotfl: I've been saying that since I booked it 9 months ago...at this rate it will end up counting down from 5 days or something :lmao:
