Just when I thought I had most of it figured out?

I've been reading aroung the net and heard about putting money in a room key. I was curious on how this works?

I've read that there's been issues with doing this. Disney putting your money in another key and such. Has anyone else heard of this?

Will they still deliver what you purchase if you don't use your room key? Or are we forced to put money in our keys if we want delivery?

Any info would be appreciated.

Not sure if I understand the question.

If you don't give a CC on file....you won't be able to charge to your room.
You can buy anything at WDW if you are staying onsite.....pay cash
and have it sent to your room.
I don't believe you need to have "money" on your room key to deliver
packages.

When you check in at the resort, you will be asked if you wish to leave a credit card on file in order to charge your purchases on your room charge rather than use a credit card each time you buy something. It will also allow you to do the Express Checkout when you depart. You don't need to go to the front desk to settle up, so to speak. Anything you have charged against your room will be automatically charged to that card.
If you choose not to leave a credit card number on file, that's okay also. But, you will have to buy things the regular way, paying with cash/credit card each time. Then, when you checkout you will have to go to the front desk and checkout in person.
Disney does not keep any credit card info on file for others to hack into. There really have not been instances where something went wrong because someone left a credit card number on file while staying at a resort.
If you choose to use your credit card, or cash, each time you purchase something in the parks, you will still be able to have it sent back to the resort.
