Just wanted to be among my own kind- What do you do with your extra rewards?

So I do swagbucks, mypoints, bing, Product Report Card, Inbox Dollars, my survey, dailybreak, and lucktasic. Some only give me $50 a year for very minimal work (like a minute a day). So are bigger. I cash out for Sam's cards, amazon, or restaurant cards (whatever gives me best point to card value). I than turn Sams and Amazon into restaurant cards and gas cards. I have a three inch zip binder I put them in. I even put same groups together (ie shell- olive garden- burger king) in there own sheet protectors. I than save them up and use them when I go on vacation.

I love being able to really go on vacation and get what I want with out worrying about the price.

I just wanted to be among my own kind who also do this (Disney Cards or others). My family thinks I am crazy, but my dad and sister (who go on vacation with me) love it. Also I think my family is a bit jealous when we go and I do not have to pay for My dad's, sisters, or mine meal- just tip. I offer to help them but they do not want to.

Don't you just love that feeling, just holding your gift cards knowing you did not pay out of pocket for them. Do you have any family that thinks you are crazy? Also what kind of cards do you get?

I'm with ya! I usually get a Starbucks gift card with my first 2200 points per month, then the rest I shoot for $25 to Paypal. Then, I transfer some Paypal funds into my acct linked to Target red card, then purchase gift cards we usually use (Netflix, Disney, etc) to get the 5% discount. When Frys (Kroger) puts their 4xs points for gift card purchase, I will get gift cards to get the $1 off per gallon. Right now, groceries on weekends is 2xs points. It is nice to save!

I live in Tennessee where we grocery shop at Kroger. For our Disney trip and Disney cruise we bought gift cards when they were 4x points. That got us several tanks of gas for .09 cents a gallon. We pay with a credit card that gets cash back. Love being frugal.

Yes, I love collecting rewards! I have the SW card so I could get DH and DS free RT tickets for DD's wedding later this year. I didn't think we could pull off a free companion pass.

I am using Amex points and Marriott points for 2 free hotel stays on our road trip this summer. I will get Kroger 4x gift cards for some places I know we'll stop along the way.

At Christmas, I rack up points quickly through ebates as well as online shopping during the year.

I love researching and trying to get the most out of a purchase!

I've been doing rewards travel for years.

SWA Visa for RR points. American Airlines MC for AAdvantage miles. Free air travel! I add to the points by redeeming eRewards and shopping thru their respective portals.

CSP and Ink CCs for URPs - hotel rooms, ground transportation

Perk for Target GCs (to buy Disney GCs)

EarnHoney and eBates for cash thru PayPal.

I've never gotten to the point where I completely paid for a trip with rewards. That was my goal when I first started in the mid-90's (oh, that dot-com era was amazing!). But I've been able to stretch my travel budget by redeeming for GCs and points.

I was doing Viggle in 2012 and I got Best Buy gift cards that I turned into Visa gift cards that I used to help buy tickets to WDW in October of that year. Then Viggle started to not be so good, so I learned about Swagbucks in the summer of 2013. I didn't do so well at first but earned enough for a few nights at pop and dinner at Biergarten for my mom and myself on our trip in December.

I started reading on here and FB and got tips and started getting better at it and was able to pay for 4 nights at POFQ (using a friends and family discount as well) for myself and my cousin in April 2014. After seeing how well I could do, I would always have a vacation in mind to earn for so I used it to pay for 5 of 7 nights at AOA for a solo trip in February of 2015 and then 5 nights at Pop in October of that year. Last summer I used my earnings to pay for my hotel for 3 nights in Slovenia for my cousin's wedding and all tips and excursions on a Mediterranean cruise after the wedding. When I got back from Europe I decided I wanted to go to a hockey tournament in Toronto in the fall, but needed to do it frugally. I ended up getting tickets to all 4 games I wanted to go to, some food gift cards and admission into the Hockey Hall of Fame using rewards.

Since September I have been working towards another Disney vacation. On June 27 I am leaving for POR for 5 night all paid for with swagbucks. I also have $420 in gift cards for food and miscellaneous stuff. All I paid for OOP was flight and 5 day hoppers (used AAA and saved there as well).

I love being able to do this and although some people think I am nuts for doing surveys and stuff while watching tv, a few are starting to come around and ask for tips.
