While I do feel that, judging by the reports of this thread, Disney's handling of the VMK room contest was mishandled and not fair, I should have come to expect this from Disney, since they seem to hold a prejudice against adults getting involved with kids stuff (i.e., character greetings, VMK).
I wonder if they even realize that it's OUR money that's going into their wallets to indulge our fan worship?

if you hang out or in the rooms with all the people from this forum, you will see Yavn pop into a room.

Yavn is the nicest producer of a game in the world! Lol I asked him if the Pirate Pin Code and the Cursed Storm Pin Code mix up would be fixed soon. And I told him about how the people who used the pirate code can not get cursed storm now. And he gave me cursed storm!!

OK, this is a very mangled, pulped dead horse, but I will beat it a little bit more.
Do you at all realize what posts like these are doing?
Yes, it is very nice of the developer to try to remedy the problems of inadvertent code mix-ups, but by fixing the problem one person at a time, and only to the few people who have "access" to him, and then posting publically that you were the beneficiary of the good deed is only perpetuating and validating the accusations of favoritism of the privileged and favored few.
You should all know that there are a growing number of adults who spend a lot of cash to Disney, as annual pass-holders, Disney Vacation Club time-share owners, Disney stock shareholders, adults who are not afraid or unwilling to voice their complaints who are increasingly irritated at favoritism and nepotism.
You should all know that these people are now by-passing the VMK feedback "black hole" and are now beginning to contact higher levels of Disney management and guest relations, because of their unhappiness at how things have been done at VMK.
Please note that I too am affected by the Bling / Cursed storm mix-up. I have not asked for a Cursed storm pin for compensation -- I would not accept one from the developers. Rather, I would like to see a global fix of some sort, rather than fanning the flames of resentment of everyone else who is not so lucky.
I like VMK a lot, but I know too many who are angry at the perceived favoritism and nepotism, and I would be sad to see VMK trashed by Disney, when Disney realizes how many high-spending Disney fans are now more and more loudly voicing their disapproval and speaking more and more harshly about their unhappiness.
I'm not surprised that because of my views and posts, I will never be in the "privileged circle" -- I am only a little bit saddened by this.
I am much more sad that because of this post and others I've made like it, some of you will likely remove me from your friends list. Before you do, please understand that I post not as an attack against people and their good fortune, or against developers and VMK staff who have put so much time and effort into a wonderful game, but as someone who looking at the "big picture" can't understand how or why things have gotten to where they are.

pumpkinfish said:Bezoar, this was very well said. Hopefully you will not lose "friends" because of the feelings you have expressed. You are an up-standing citizen in my eyes with the VMK Community and I would hope that the VMK staff see that.
Tishke said:In group....I thought that was us!! Sure, the VMK staff has their little clique, but ours is a hundred times better. We help each other toward games goals, we provide fun and laughter to each other at the end of a long day, we're there for each other as a friend. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I would rather be part of our "in" group than the VMK group. Good friends are worth more than getting to wear a new outfit/pin/hat a few weeks early.![]()
Now, off to work where my warm fuzzy feelings will be quashed as I am sure to be blamed for something else. LOL (On a good note, we are going on day two of no one quitting and blaming me)
