Just Want to Say Thank You

On Christmas Eve, while I made about a million meatballs and wrapped a gazillion gifts etc., I listened to the Live Podcast from the Swan/Dolphin. I enjoyed the show so much, and I realized how much these shows have come to mean to me. In July and August this past year, I had the opportunity to meet some of you at the NJ meet and at the meet at the Poly, and when I listen to the podcasts now, I feel a connection to some very special people. I would like to say thank you to all of you for your hard work on the podcasts and also for creating a community of friends. A very special thank you to all of you who work so hard behind the scenes as well. I don't know how you accomplish it week after week, but I'm so glad you do! The best of everything to all of you in the new year,

I know all too well how you feel. I've been with the DIS since 2005, but lurked a year or so before then. It truly is a special place. It's more than just a message board and informational site. It's more than a link to a great travel agency. For so many, it provides a place where they can feel safe, supported, loved, entertained, and informed. Many people have discovered their best friends here and, for some, their soul mates. I hope that everyone who visits these boards, particularly this area, feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and joining in on the discussions. Some may feel that it is intimidating when they see some DISers who know one another, but the only way to get to know each other is to jump in. You are all welcome.

I am glad you posted this! You inspire me to say thanks as well to the team. I should say it more...

I have so many cool memories of certain DIS Unplugged episodes playing while I was jogging or doing stuff around the house... Discovery Cove review, I was running in the quiet development behind a local school...the matching rug and curtains (was that it?), that was as I was wrapping up a jog at the end of my street...sad little crab cake, I was painting the bedroom...the Solo Show, I was at the gym...security theater rant, driving in the mountains for a little camping trip, both kids asleep for a fleeting moment...Aulani review, I was making pierogies for the family...

It's funny how I associate such special episodes with seemingly everyday events in my life, and how your show lifts them to slightly more than ordinary to me now.

Enjoy your holiday, may you get some much-deserved rest and know that you provide good cheer and to many, many people. I've never said, so I'm saying it now!

I will join in the thanks. Listening to the Podcast has helped me through some rough times, given me my laugh for the day, helped lighten my mood (when it needed it). I was at one of the first meets (Swan - several years ago), then what turned into Bob's Memorial...I felt so fortunate to be at each of those events and since then when I listen to a podcast I feel even more like I'm sitting in with friends than I did before.

The podcast is made up of an amazing group of people who open up and share their lives with us in a way that makes many of us feel that we're right there at the table with them. Thank you, you enrich my life in many ways.

You know when people ask you why you love Disney and you try, but you can't quite put it into words? It's the same for me and the podcast too. I try to explain what the show, the team and the boards mean to me and I just can't put into mere words. Thank you for all you do and creating such a special place and show that words can't describe.

I was just thinking about how much I appreciate everyone on the podcast, all the board moderators, website support, etc. As I read the latest posts by John and Kevin from Italy, I decided to review more podcast forum posts and ran across this one. Thank you Trish! My sentiment exactly!
