We are a family of three, husband, wife, and nine year old. We just returned from our 22nd trip home. My daughter and I arrived on Tuesday and my husband followed on Thursday. Here's where we ate :
Garden Grill, The Land, Epcot. My daughter and I ate here first and liked it so much we went back later in the week with my dh. We personally LOVE the new menu. The breadsticks are great and the entrees much better than before. And fondue always works with us. We had great service the first time and terrible the second but other than that this is still one of our favorite meals on property and by far our favorite character meal. It is calm compared to most others.
Olivia's, Old Key West. We ate here three times, once for every meal. I love OKW and I love Olivia's. The service is always friendly and the food is good and always cooked the way you ask. It fits in perfectly to the vibe of OKW which we just love.
50's Prime Time, MGM. This was a new one for us. My daughter and I ate here for dinner and had a great time. The server instantly sensed my daughter (who has Asperger's) didn't want to be teased and was wonderful with her. Our favorite part? Dessert. She had a great "make your own sundae" and I had a wonderful Snickers cheesecake but it was the service that really made it for us. We'll be back.
Ohana Character breakfast. Another first for us. It was a typical chaotic character meal but my kiddo loved the parade. She gladly danced with Goofy and smiled the whole time. The food was okay - nothing spectactular.
Norway Princess Lunch. This was our first meal with my dh and we loved it. My daughter has a pretty sophisticated palate for a nine year old and she enjoyed everything, especially the adult appetizers. Character interaction was great here and we'll definitely be back.
POR food court. We had two okay meals here - breakfast and dinner. Both were typical food court meals and were fine.
CBR food court. We drove over because we wanted to check out CBR (we last stayed when our little one was about 3). what a dramatic change from the crazy POR food court. The food was great too. I had a vegetable platter that was wonderful.
I think that's it. Overall we ate well again. As you can tell we tend to shy away from fast food type places and much prefer a sit-down meal. We had some good ones this time.
