Hi to all on the forums,
I'm glad I came accross these wonderful forums,as there is a wealth of brilliant information,and everyone seems so friendly, I have learnt so much from coming here,and I thought I'd seen it all in Orlando.
Through these forums and Simons book my wife and I have learned a whole lot more.
We cannot wait till Oct 5th till we get back there-The daughter who is 20,will not be coming as she says she is too old now to be going on holiday with mum and dad.
My son thinks it great as he says there will be more spending money for him.

This is the families 12th time in Orlando and if it weren't for job restrictions we would move there permanently.
We fell in love with the place the first time we holidayed there in the early 80's,I can honestly say I have never witnessed anwhere on earth,that has a magic quality like Orlando, I thought nowhere was as beautiful as Jamaica.

We travel to Orlando once a year for 2 weeks of pure magic, and then it's off to my wifes Mums in Jamaica for the Christmas period.
As dearly as we would like to spend Christmas in Orlando,My wife will not be without her Parents at Xmas.
We have been talking about going in early December 2004 for the sons 16th birthday.

Anyhow,it's a pleasure to meet you all-and anyone who is off to Orlando in the coming weeks-Have a smashing holiday.

Hello Steve, Yvette and Steven - a big welcome to the DIS

We're off in October too, although a couple of weeks later than you. Can't wait, I'm watching the timer everyday now - even DH is getting excited (something he doesn't normally do until we leave!).

Lucky you being able to spend Xmas in Jamaica - Orlando in the summer, Jamaica at Xmas, best of both worlds

What's all your fave parts of Orlando - if it's possible to choose

I would also love to visit Orlando around Christmas - although I think I'd be happier to go directly after the Thanksgiving rush, and see all the Christmas decs in less crowded parks!

Mrs Dazzle if I could pick a few of my favourite places I have been whilst here in orlando,they would have to be:-

1-When we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge for our daughters 18th birthday-This would have to be the best holiday I have ever had.

2-When we stayed at the Best Western at Lake Buena Vista,I personally love it at Downtown Disney,My wife doesn't agree with me going into the virgin megastore though,as I always seem to come out with lots of Dvd's and movies.
She can't talk though,as she spends like there was no tomorrow in the Disney shop

The Florida Keys was superb as well,and the Everglades was excellent

we are all ride fanatics so Universal IOA is our first port of call,as well as MGM in Disney.

Hi Steve Great to have you here, and looking forward to hearing more about your previous trips and your plans. Dh keeps saying (hoping ) he reckons this coming trip (October) will be the last time our daughters (who will be 17 and 15) will come with us. I think they'll still be coming with us when they're in their 50s!

That made me laugh Deb..Our Daughter just seems to think it's very uncool to be seen out with her parents,just incase her friends see her,and come over to speak-And we say something we shouldn't.

She thinks we are very unhip,as she likes to call it-and that everything we say or do is like-Oh Dad!!-You're still stuck in the 60's".

But we don't seem to be uncool when she wants a loan or to borrow the car..
