Just the four of us...and several thousand other people (a spring break TR) ~ DONE!

It's almost like we were intentionally missing each other. :lmao: On Sunday, we arrived at MGM for dinner right after you'd left.

Well, Mia had different plans for me because she was not interested in seeing Minnie at all.

Ahh..the best laid plans. Her dress is adorable, though!

Dave would also make a great Goofy too.:goofy:

He's tall enough for the costume! :thumbsup2

Mia loved running through the queue area which looked like a maze to the kids.

It looks like one to me, too. It feels like you're actually hiking across Florida to the real ocean.

I love this picture. I think Mia's reaction is hilarious.

:lmao: I love that one, too. They're a little creepy, all right.

I just have to say that I absolutely love Turtle Talk with Crush. It's one of the best attractions anywhere for me. The technology is amazing to me and I love the interaction.

It's one of my must do's.

Great updates!

OMG!! I just jumped on board and I love, love , love your report so far!!!:thumbsup2

Keep it coming!popcorn::

Love the new diaper/bag purse...Lucky girl getting the nod from DH ;) :rotfl:

Love the binky pic of Mia in front of the tank. SOOOOO cute!!!

I need to try Wolfgang Puck. I always forget about it!!!

Yes, why does Living with the Land have Fast Passes??? Is there ever a line????

Just found your TR and am all caught up :woohoo: CBR is one of my fav resorts! Your kids are so adorable and it sounds like you had a magical trip :wizard: I so want a Disney Dooney purse, maybe my hubby will give in and buy one! I'm looking forward to reading more :mickeyjum

Love your new purse/diaper bag:lovestruc
Isn't it amazing how kids can smile/look at the camera on command:)
My two girls could be glaring at each other one minute and both have
huge smiles w/arms around each other the next.
LOL, yes Alexander is great about turning around and smiling at the camera no matter what mood he is in. I remember right after we had Mia I made him sit through tons of pictures trying to get the best shot for our announcements. He did so great even with all the squirming that Mia was doing. Finally he had enough and gave me this horrible look and demanded that we were done. But that picture I took of him then was my favorite of all. I thought about using it for our announcement but decided it probably wouldn't have been the best way to show his love for his new sister.

It's almost like we were intentionally missing each other. :lmao: On Sunday, we arrived at MGM for dinner right after you'd left.

It will be interesting to see if that happens more throughout our trip.

Ahh..the best laid plans. Her dress is adorable, though!

Thanks!

He's got a great personality for it too. I think if he ever gets sick of his job I would be more than happy to move to Florida so he can pursue his "Goofy" acting career.

It looks like one to me, too. It feels like you're actually hiking across Florida to the real ocean.

That has got to be the longest queue anywhere. I mean you just keep going and going...

:lmao: I love that one, too. They're a little creepy, all right.

Thanks for joining in!

What a lovely family..
I would like to hear more .:hippie:
Oh, thank you so much!:cutie:

enjoying the read!
I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Love the new diaper/bag purse...Lucky girl getting the nod from DH ;) :rotfl:
He loves buying things for me but calls me cheap, so when I want to buy something nice for myself he always encourages me.

Love the binky pic of Mia in front of the tank. SOOOOO cute!!!
Thanks, it would have been better if she would have taken that binky out for two seconds though.

I need to try Wolfgang Puck. I always forget about it!!!
You should, it's wonderful!

Yes, why does Living with the Land have Fast Passes??? Is there ever a line????
Does it? I didn't even know that. I have seriously never seen a line there.

Thanks for the compliments! I hope you get your Dooney purse. They are so cute! Do you know which kind you want to get?

My photopass CD came today so I have some pictures to add. :woohoo:

I also need to have Dave put his pictures from his iphone onto my computer. He has some really pretty pictures of CBR.

I love the photopass pictures. We have never done them before, but I am hoping to pre-order the cd this time and get some great pictures. I am still a bit confused as to how they work though.

I have never done a trip report either. Maybe I will try this time. I am just not that organized. LOL.

You really got some great Photo Pass pictures! What a beautiful family.

I'm joining in to hear the details. Your title caught my attention because the first TR I ever wrote had a similar title. :thumbsup2 (You can see it in my sig.)

We were actually at Disney the same time you were. We were there Friday, the 19th-Thursday, the 25th. I was thinking how funny it would be if I saw my group in your pictures, but it hasn't happened yet. So far, we weren't at the same parks on the same days. :)

Can't wait to hear your take on the crowds (and oh---yuck, that rain on Sunday!)

You have a beautiful family!

signing on... i popped over here from my TR. I haven't caught up yet but I will soon! So far, so good!!!

I hope to get a new update posted either today or tomorrow. We had Mia's birthday party yesterday so it was kind of crazy around here.

I've never pre-purchased the photopass CD before, but this is my second time to buy it after a vacation. It's pretty easy though. You just see a photographer and have them take your pic and they will either hand you a new card or you give them your card to let them scan. Then when you get home you enter the code from your card on the photopass website and view all of your pictures. Then you can add borders and make adjustments if you like. We took a little over 200 pictures and with the borders I added I think it brought my total up to 430.

I've enjoyed writing this trip report but it takes so much more time to write than I thought it was going to. What I did to try to stay organized was to keep all of my receipts, make notes each day, and then just refer to all my pictures to help me remember the rest. I hope you do write a TR! I'd love to read it!

Aww, thanks!

And here I thought I was being so original with my title.

I'm going to have to go check out your TR! And yeah, that rain on Sunday was just awful.:sad2:

Yay, I'm glad you're here!:thumbsup2

OOOH your PP pics reminded me of a stupid question I have. We are going to Star Wars Weekend and hoping to do the Jedi Academy (now that they have a line instead of picking kids...it might be a nightmare). Anyway, you mentioned going and having your photos added later in the day. Can you explain that?

Oh and yes, Living with the Land does have FP machines. I always say that I would never want to be at WDW when those are up and running!

So when I last left you we had just gone in to see Turtle Talk with Crush. Alexander sat in front with the rest of the kids, I was off to the left side in the floor with Mia, and Dave was sitting on the benches.

Crush came out and saw all of us humans in the human tank. Crush called on the first kid, a little girl named Carrie, and had her say "sweeeet". Then he spoke with her "parental unit" who said they were they were from Pennsylvania. Somehow, Crush had never heard of Pennsylvania. He never seems to have heard of any of the places the humans are from. I just wonder how he would respond if somebody said they were from Bermuda. :confused3

After their conversation Crush had us all say "dude". Mia got a kick out of that and kept saying it, loudly, over and over. You get what you ask for Crush. :lmao:

Then Crush asked who liked to swim. All the kids raised their hands, and since Mia saw everyone else doing it she raised her hand and frantically waved it around. Crush said to Mia "Hey sister in the red, I see you. Thanks for waving babe". I thought that was cute. Mia had no clue he was talking to her, but I knew.:cutie:

Crush asked if anyone had any questions and a little boy stated that turtles like to eat. Crush told him he was so totally right.

Then he asked for more questions and called on a little dudette who also happened to be named Mia. Then they had the funniest conversation I have ever heard in all of the times I have ever been to Turtle Talk. It went like this:

Crush: Yeah, dudette, what is your name little one?

Mia: Mia.

Crush: Yeah, Mia, what a cool name. What's the question?

Mia: We are not boys.

Crush: (pausing a second) Uh, okay. That's why I called you a dudette, yeah. You know we change it up: dude, dudette. Guy, girl. Chiquita. So do you have a question for me?

Mia: No.

Crush: Woah, dude. I shall call you Dory.

With that, everyone died laughing. It was just hysterical to hear how Crush handled it. I still laugh at it now every time I think about it.

Then Crush moved on and called on a dude with a blue shell and a short fuzzy noggin. It was Alexander!

Last year he didn't want to sit with the kids for some reason and I was a little disappointed. But this year he told me he wanted to sit with the other kids but couldn't think of anything to ask Crush if he was called on. So I gave him an idea and he used it.

So Crush asked if he had a question and Alexander asked where his favorite place to visit was. Crush said he hangs out a lot in Australia but it gets chilly, then he came to Florida and the water was chilly too. So his favorite place to visit is Hawaii where the waves are massive and the water, toasty. I want to go hang out in Hawaii some time too. :cloud9:

Then Crush brought out a Buzz Lightyear doll and asked Alexander if he had ever seen it before and what it was. Alexander told him what it was and Crush told him he so totally rocked and now he was going to tell all of his friends he got a Buzz.

Then the rest of the show finished up and we left. That was probably the best Turtle Talk we have ever been to.

After Crush we had to go do the obligatory photo in the sharks mouth.

There was a little bit of a line to do the picture and a lady who was about three people in front of me took at least 20 pictures. The rest of us waiting were getting a little impatient. When she was done the lady in front of me asked the person in front of her if she was going to take that many pictures too. Okay, sure I was thinking that, but I wouldn't actually say something like that out loud. For the record, I only took two.

We got our picture and moved on. Alexander wanted to look around a bit so of course I had to take a few pictures.

After playing for a bit it was time to go ride Soarin'. On the way out I had to buy a sippy cup for Mia because I had forgot to bring one. Alexander kept bugging me to buy a Webkinz. I told him it was silly to spend the money on it at Disney World when you could buy those anywhere, at a cheaper price too I might add. He wasn't happy about my response though.

We went back to The Land to ride Soarin'. We got the rider swap pass and Alexander and I rode first. Mia and Dave got some grapes to snack on and sat out at a booth at Sunshine Seasons.

Soarin' is a favorite ride of all of ours. It's something that my mom will even ride and she does not do any sort of thrill rides. In all the times that we have ridden I have never gotten the front row. Alexander and I lucked out this time and did get the front row, but it was all the way over to the right. It was still a great ride and I liked not having feet dangling in front of me as I'm flying over California.

After we finished Dave and Alexander went to ride while I waited with Mia. She was getting tired by then. She usually naps at about 10 am at home so she would always start feeling tired around noon. While we waited on the boys she was content to sit in my lap and watch cartoons on Dave's phone.

After the boys were finished with Soarin', we left The Land to head to World Showcase. Even though we were on the quick-service dining plan we still wanted to do a couple table services meals. One place that Dave and I have both always wanted to eat at was at San Angel Inn. So I had made us and ADR for 12:30 pm.

Let me just pause here to say how much I love making ADR's online now. I can't tell you how much I hated getting up at 6 am just to call, wait who knows how long to speak with someone, and try to make an ADR. It's so much easier to just turn on the computer, plug in the times I want, and see what's available. Wonderful!:thumbsup2

Alright, so as we started making our way to Mexico we saw an opportunity to stop and take some photopass pictures.
Image0074.jpg

Image0092.jpg

Have I mentioned how much I love all the borders you can add? I really do and added them to most of my pictures.

The photographer asked Alexander to jump up with his hand in the air. He had no idea why he needed to do that, but I did.;) I love how his picture turned out.
Image0081.jpg

We found our way to Mexico and checked in to San Angel Inn. We were given a buzzer and had about a 10 minute wait. While we were waiting I called my sister to see how things were going around home. She told me that our town in Arkansas had gotten 11 inches of snow! Eleven inches in Arkansas is just about unheard of. We're lucky to get 2 inches. When we do get snow everyone acts so crazy too. You would think it's the end of the world. I can't imagine what it was like around there with 11 inches. I'm just glad we weren't there to see it. A little snow is okay for me, but I get really annoyed with it if it stays around for more than one day. I'm a Southern girl through and through.

Alright, so back to lunch. I know San Angel Inn gets a lot of bad reviews on here and I'm not sure why. It is absolutely beautiful in there. I had hopes that we would be seated close to the volcano but that didn't happen. Instead we were at the front side in a booth.

So we ordered our food. I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes which came with black bean refried beans and rice. I'm not a fan of rice so I didn't eat that but the rest was delicious. Dave ordered some tacos. I'm not sure what exactly was in it but he thought they were great. Alexander, being the picky kid he is, ordered chicken strips which came with rice and mixed veggies. He liked his food quite a bit.

Like I said, all the food was great but the portion sizes were tiny for what we paid. I know that's how it is in a lot of "fancy" restaurants, but I don't consider this a "fancy" restaurant. We paid $60, including tip, for our lunch. I don't know that I would ever go back again if I had to pay OOP. If I was on the dining plan I would certainly have a meal here again.

Okay, gotta end it here for now. More to come later.

We are going to Star Wars Weekend and hoping to do the Jedi Academy (now that they have a line instead of picking kids...it might be a nightmare). Anyway, you mentioned going and having your photos added later in the day. Can you explain that?

There is a store (sorry, I don't know the name of it) in Hollywood Studios that is on the left side as you are leaving that you can stop in and have them put your Jedi Training Academy photopass pictures on your photopass card. I seem to remember last year that they gave us a ticket with a number on it that you give to the CM working at the store counter, but I didn't get one this year. In fact, nobody even told us that there was a photopass photographer taking pictures of kids at JTA. If you were close to the front you could see him taking the pictures. So, thankfully, I remembered we could add the pictures. All you have to do is tell the CM at the photo store which show your child was in and they can pull the pictures up that way. Then they just go through the pictures with you and add them to your photopass card. It's only takes a few minutes to do it.

Does that all make sense? I hope I explained it well enough, LOL.

That was probably the best Turtle Talk we have ever been to.

Well, of course it was ! ;)

When she was done the lady in front of me asked the person in front of her if she was going to take that many pictures too.

I would have guessed that was me, except that we didn't go there on this trip! :rotfl:

.

Great update! :)

OMG... the conversation between Mia and Crush... How cute!!! Can't wait to see Crush on our next trip. Can't wait to hear more about your trip.

Thanks for the info. Makes perfect sense! :thumbsup2

So glad both of your kiddos got to interact with Crush! Totally cute dude!

Yay for front row on Soarin

So glad to hear that San Angel is getting better. It's so pretty in there but the food was AWFUL when we ate there (mushy and COLD). This was several years ago though and it seems that it's really improving.
