just switched to Wilderness Lodge..room pref?

We are going back to the world in the fall and were booked at BC. One of our FAVORITE places ever!!! But, my older son is in high school and decided not to go so he doesn't miss a week of school--he will be staying with grandma! So,..now that we are back down to a family of 4 for the trip, we can stay at the WL!! We have been once, for one night at the Deluxe Suite. It was nice, but $$$ for us. So,..we are booked now in the Courtyard view. Do any of you WL lovers have any tips, recommendations, or nuggets of wisdom for us? I am in a room now with 2Q beds, but might switch for one with bunks if the kids like that idea better...
I had wanted the standard view CL--it's showing availability on line, but not when I call...so that's still up in the air. We are excited about trying a new place, but I want some words of wisdom from fellow WLers!! Thanks!

We LOVED the courtyard view that we had last year. We actually left our balcony door open a bit at night so we could hear the waterfall.

Just spent a week at the WL Club level and was a bit sad when the CM turned to a room that I knew wouldn't face the courtyard....but as soon as she opened the door we saw our balcony had the best view ever of THE CASTLE ! If you get a chance to do club level I have the perfect room # for you to ask for if you want that kind of view!

Was wanting to know if I should request a certain part of the building, or closer to this or that....I wasn't sure what all "courtyard view" entailed....I know at the BC exactly what location I want because the rooms are so spread out and maybe that isn't such an issue at the WL, just didn't want to go in blindly and get a local that was bad, or that could have been avoided.

We used a room only AAA discount for our trip last week. In Oct we will be using the bounce back which is way better.

Some people prefer to be closer to the elevators since the hallways can be long, but the view is the big deal. Our take on it is anywhere at WL is wonderful. Enjoy!

At this point I don't have any discounts, so who knows!

If you want a view of the castle ask for room 7060. Not a guarantee but never hurts to ask. We loved that room!

Congratulations on getting the CL room you had wanted. You're going to love WL CL!

There are three view options for standard club level rooms at WL:

~Inner or WL Courtyard View is of the geyser, pool and Bay Lake.

~Outer or VWL View is of the VWL courtyard and VWL.

~Woods View is of the woods with the MK/CR beyond.

I just try to keep up with what we ate, and if it was any good, pics of the room and how we liked it and then anything fab that went on and a recap of each day. I don't make mine crazy long or anything...just basic info and our family's likes/dislikes... short and sweet! LOL!!
