Just switched from POFQ to Coronado Springs

The price was such a difference we were able to add a day. Never stayed at either before, but as I have the Grandkids and their parents, and I could NOT talk them into the camper, I decided to move over here and get the extra day. Never been to either, this is our first moderate stay, so I do hope I did not just really screw up!

Coronado is a very nice Moderate Resort (closer to Deluxe than POFQ). We stayed there 4 years ago and POFQ 3 years ago. They both would be a great choice. POFQ is very quite and laid back, while Coronado is a bit busier (has a convention center). Coronado is much larger than POFQ and depending where your room is, you may have a longer walk to the main lobby/pool. Coronado has great a great restaurant in Maya grill - highly recommend. Anyway, you made a good choice.

Thanks for your input. It makes me feel better. As much as I would like POFQ I feel the grandkids will like this one better, and it was WAY less expensive

I've stayed at both.
Coronado Springs is my favorite moderate (and I've stayed at all moderate resorts.) It's definitely bigger than POFQ, but I feel that gives it the "something for everyone" feel, which is great since you will have multiple generations in your party! Have a great trip!

The pool at Coronado is awesome! Another thing we really enjoyed when we stayed with my kids is just getting a gelato and walking around the resort, and seeing the fireworks (you can see the fire works from Hollywood Studios near Casitas 4/5.) The location of CSR is great because it's very centrally located!

We have stayed at CSR more than once and my family loves this resort. AS a family of 5 this resort is no longer an option for us. CSR always felt like a deluxe resort with a moderate price. I love the island feel of this resort and the pool area is amazing. Congrats on your choice. Enjoy!

Coronado is a beautiful resort. You didn't screw anything up in the slightest! I have a soft spot for POFQ because it's where my family always stayed when I was a kid. However, as an adult, Coronado is my Mod of choice. You made a smart decision.

Our favorite moderate and minus the uniqueness of AKL, our favorite hotel at WDW. While I like the architecture at POFQ it stops there so you made a great choice.

Great location, buses, awesome pool, lots of food options, stunning landscape ... I could go on.
