In need of pixie dust

Not sure about all of you but we always plan our trips WAY in advance and we always start planning a year ahead!
This time is no different! We have not visited since 2009
and I feel like I had slowly been drained of that special Disney pixie dust! But...I have convinced hubby that a trip was definitely needed since our oldest will be in her first year of college and the youngest will be starting high school, there are not many more family trip years left before they fly the nest!
So began our Long Time Coming Disney Vacation!!
First thing first...when to go?? I would love to go over Halloween but our oldest DD will be in college and we have to find the best time for her. That leaves winter or spring break. We did the spring thing on our last vacation and we had already done Disney at Christmas so we are most likely going to be vacationing from January 6-13, 2018!
I am hoping since it is after the holidays, the park will not be as crowded? BUT...I do think this is during a marathon weekend?
Who will be going??? Good question!!

We would love to stay at a deluxe resort but need to price it out first, if not we will definitely be in a moderate. We really liked the French Quarter last time and maybe will try Riverside? Anyone have a preference?
I will update every time that I have some new info but we are in the very beginning stages so, hold onto your hats folks and enjoy the ride!
