Wonderful Vacation.

Stayed in the 50's section, ate at the food court, used the buses, swam at all the pools, used the buses and parked a rental for a few of the days.

I'd be happy to answer any questions!

Did you get any towel animals?

How far from the food court were you?

Did you find it to be particulalry loud/quiet?

I'm staying there in Dec and have never stayed there before. Any info you have would be great!

:)

Glad you had a good trip!!!

The resort is just plain fun. The theming is great. Nice crowd. My family has stayed at Disney resorts ranging from All Star Movies to Caribbean Beach to Animal Kingdom Lodge and everyone in our group, 4 adults and 4 kids, were commenting how much they preferred this hotel to others we'd stayed in.

Short walk to the bus stops from all the locations. Only one long wait the whole week and that was about 25 -30 minutes after wishes at MK. Three buses passed before we were able to fit.

The food court food is good but would get repetitive if you ate all your meals there. We also ate at various places around the world so we were fine.

Parking can be hard if your out late. We hit the 24 hour Walmart in Kissimme late one night and had a tough time finding a spot around 1am.

The pools were great, always buzzing with activity. I t was hard to keep the kids out of them when we weren't in the parks. The life guards do a great job keeping an eye on everyone. Saw them grab a little girl not far from where we were sitting at the edge of the pool before we even realized she was in trouble.

All in all a great place to stay. To those on the fence, I say go for it!

I requested the 50's building for our first night when we arrive in December, I would like to know how close it was to the food court and the bus stop as well.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but figured I could answer this one. We stayed in 50s Building A in May and it was very close to everything. In fact, some of the 50s rooms were closer than some of the "preferred" 60s rooms. We're talking literally minutes from the food court, lobby, bus stop, etc. Everything at Pop is close - the furthest being the 80s and 90s buildings, which are still probably only about a leisurely 7 minute walk from the main building.

We were on the second floor overlooking the bowling pin pool. I'd say the walk was less than five minutes.

I'd have to say it was quiet as we weren't bothered by any outside noise in our room. However there were always people out and about as well as in the pools, especially the main pool, no matter what time we came in.

We didn't get any towel animals but we did get a cute tooth brush holder by the sink the second day. Mousekeeping also did a good job. I asked for extra towels the second day for the kids to take to the pool and there were extras left everyday after that.

Seems like you had a great time! I may consider them for my next trip.

We'll be at Pop on the 21st for four nights. I asked for the 70's building, not pool view. The reservationist told me pool view is preferred and that I didn't have that. I thought the 60's building was preferred. Anyway, I'm hoping for a room in a quieter area since my DH is a light sleeper. This is our first time onsite and I am very excited about that! Do you think the 70's building is a good choice for us? Do you see any downside to the 70's building? I can't wait!!
