Just set my vacation countdown app... 933 days though!!!!

After a decade of virtually annual Disney world trips our lives have changed somewhat. We are expecting our 2nd (and definitely last as I am terrible at being pregnant, constantly ill) child.
I realised after returning to work full time after dd1 that I really don't want to be away from her/next one that much so am planning on returning to work part time (3days a week high school teacher)
This will of course mean a big drop in income aswl as the extra cost if another child. Dd1 is now 18 months so the 2 are quite close together so my maternity leave (affording it) is going to be harder this time!

All that said my family and I love Disney!
We know we can't go this year and affording a big trip from the uk to see Mickey isn't going to be cheap so next year is unrealistic too.
But we do want to go, and unlike previous years, if we want to go we are going to have to make the effort to apecifically save for it! We have been very lucky to financially be able to do Disney holidays without much prior thought previously, that's changed.
So our countdown and first proper "Saving up for disney" experience is about to begin!!!
Half the fun is the planning right?
So Disney aug 2015 here we come!!

Emmamc...you are so cute...people think I'm weird because I started counting before 500 (that was the second time I had to start because we had to cancel our 1/11 trip...so sad!). So today we're at 361 days!!! I'm so excited because it's less than a year!! Congrats that you're going! I love your enthusiasm.

A bunch of people laugh when I say that big number and many roll their eyes but a few don't - they understand, they're excited for us...those are the REAL MOUSEJUNKIES!! And those eye-rollers won't be feeling so smart when we step on the plane to Orlando for a week of fun while they are slaving away at work!

Love it....I have 2 different countdown apps on my phone-1 has the days since we were at Disney and the other has the days til we go back. Kinda make me sad to see it at 689 days til we go back....It will keep me going, I only wish we could go every year, but we go every other xmas....2014, cant come soon enough!

Congrats to you. It is very to early to start planning a Disney Vacation. I also understand about the pregnancy thing, for me morning sickness was 9 months long, not the 3 months that most people experience.
