Patty, It has helped me to "adopt" some marines from your son's troop. The war makes you feel helpless and now I feel I have a very small connection and have tried to do something to help. Your updates are something I look for everyday. I want to thank you and let you know your son and your family are in my prayers along with all the servicemen and women and their families. My experience with these boards always amazes me--the people are so loving and supportive. I hope some day I can give back all they have given to me in bad times. Keep your spirits up. Beth A

Hey! Bobby's got a "cyber uncle" too!

Although I do not have a relative in harm's way, I have some of my former high school students in action in Iraq. One is in special forces and even his parents have no idea were he is.

This forum shows the true nature of the American spirit. We can put aside our political differences and concentrate on what matters most--- young soldiers like Bobby who I pray will come home to a long and wonderful life.

When this is all over, we must bring those brave people home for lots of love and care. They are going through a living hell right now, and it is our DUTY to them to get them back into society. Sorta like a big country-wide group hug.

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!!
