Was surprised they accepted the bid. I was just messing around. I'm renting 6/21-7/2 out of MCO, 12 days for a total of $211 all in. I'm happy with that. First time I've used priceline, hope it goes well.

Company was Avis. Only thing I'm curous about is what a mid-size car is for Avis, I'm assuming it matches up to their "standard" car.

The average winning bid I have seen on a certain bidding website is $13 per day so you got a great deal! I have been paying attention to rates since we will be renting a car in September.

mid-size = intermediate

mid-size = intermediate

Yeah after looking a little closer I see you're right. Only my wife and two small ones, just hope we can fit our luggage!

So looks like a Chevy Cruze? Anyone know what the typical intermediate models are for Avis at MCO?

Wow, $108 for the rental and then 113 in taxes and fees? I can;'t believe the extras are more than the rental... still a good deal overall but man do they get you.

Hope somone finds this useful. Priceline sent $28 coupon to me today for rental car usage(only good for specific registered priceline customer). Full size 6/17 - 7/5 $10 bid with coupon($28) it increased the bid to $11.56 per day and it was accepted(MCO). Rental car company is Avis. About $125 less than the best Alamo rate I had from 8 weeks ago. $180 18days total with tax $338.00 Never used Avis fingers crossed.

Another data point:

Last night, I bid $11/day for a fullsize for 8/27-9/5 and was rejected.

Then I bid $11/day for a standard for the same dates and was accepted. Fees were $81.97, so my total was $180.97 for the nine days. The best rate I was able to get normally was $227-ish from Dollar and that was a while ago; rates seems to have gone up substantially for my dates in the last few weeks.

Anybody know what a typical Hertz "standard" is at MCO?
