Just saw the Tinkerbell Movie - thought it was very sweet. No real spoilers.

We just got back from seeing the movie. They are finishing the only planned theater run in Los Angeles this week. It's at Disney's El Capitan Theater through Oct. 2. My 3 year old daughter was slack-jawed through most of the movie and applauded at the end. I know the Tinkerbell purists out there may have some issues, but I thought it was generally a sweet piece of work.


My only two comments, since I don't want to ruin the plot of the movie for anyone...

Contrary to popular belief, they did keep a couple of the book characters in the movie - a nice touch for the book fans.

For fans of the Pixie Previews - don't look for any of them in it. I was refreshingly surprised that those were made to be independent of the movie. It was fun to see where they included the references to them, though!

Can anyone confirm the first date that Tink and her friends will be at MK? In the updates section of the DIS, it states Oct. 26th. The Orlando Sentinel states the 24th. My six year old is a huge fan and the last day of my visit to the World this year is the 25th. She would be most thrilled to meet Tink, and I don't want to disappoint her if I tell her she can meet her and find out when we are there that we can't. I know, just don't tell her, make it a surprise. Well I wish I could keep a secret! Since we are counting the days till we leave, Disney gets discussed at home daily and as DVC members I have spoiled my girls, but isn't that what Dad's are to do?
