Hi All! Wanted to reassure everyone that the 10-Day passes worked like magic!

We had purchased ours in May from Flightshop.UK.com.

Went into all parks (including TL&BB) and DQ without a hitch! Sometimes 4 in one day!

Used our b'fast vouchers at H & V in MGM Studios. Server accepted them no problem.

So relax and enjoy the anticipation of your trip. These passes were the BEST value for our family! Had a MAGICAL visit...Hope you do also!

Feel free to PM me if I can help further!

Special thanks to friends at UK boards where I first learned of this pass!:)

That's GREAT news!!! Thanks for reporting back!

Hi Mai Ku Tiki -

Man, you beat me to it. I was just going to post the same message. I started using mine Tuesday and even bought an e-night pass to extend our hours! I guess even 10 days isn't enough for my family! <vbg>

No problems or even questions from anyone. This has worked out be a be a great deal and I hope it's around next year for our 2003 trip.

Steve

Mai Ku Tiki - How much did the 10 day tickets cost?? Was there a lot of shipping costs?

DVC California - Where did you get your tickets and what was the cost?? Was it very involved to get them??

Hi tink2dw!

I don't know if these passes are still available. There are several threads/posts about these passes a bit earlier on this board and the UK board.(Sorry-don't know how to link you).

I purchased mine from a UK company-Flightshop.UK.com. But mine was only for sale thru May. I think Paramount is a US company selling these. Check those posts!

Hey Steve! Hope you are LOVING BCV! Saw them last week at Open House! Absolutely GORGEOUS! We purchased in April and will be there next year!:Pinkbounc

Once you calculate price and move forward, the site changes to Paramounts order form.

This is where I ordered mine from. Prices are higher than what they were in May from the UK (my own fault for waiting), but I figure with the Disney Quest and the breakfast pass, it will still be a good value for us. I would like to just go over to Epcot or MGM some evening for supper after we have gone to Universal and this way I won't feel as if I am 'wasting' a hopper day on it. I know we will have probably at least 2 days we won't even get to use.

Mine came 2 day UPS (signature required). They forgot the breakfast passes, but I emailed directly to the email address that sent me the UPS tracking # etc and Rosana sent them out to me via regular mail and I had them a few days later.

I highly doubt we will have any problems, but will try to post from DisneyQuest or somewhere once we get there (Man-only about 14 days before we leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Mai Ku Tiki, I was wondering if Disney asked for identification or not and did you have to do the finger print thing for entry? Did you get actual passes or were they vouchers? Thanks and I'm glad it went so smooth for you.

Toni

Hi Toni!

Mine were regular paper passes marked '10-day' on back. On the front-1 each with pix of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, & Goofy so they were easy for us to keep track of. We did have to do the 'insert-your-two-fingers' thing each time we entered a park, but never had a problem, even when we went to 2 parks, TL, and DQ in the same day. We did get stamped exiting each park just to be safe, but hand stamps were never checked. No ID was EVER requested. These looked and acted just like regular hoppers. Looks like I rehearsed my poor imitation of a British accent for nothing!!! LOL!!! ;)

Mai Ku Tiki - This whole fingerprint thing does still confuse me. Do they record the print the first time you use it so that it would then show up as differently on subsequent visits? I just want to know what the deal is when I get there. Last time we just used 5 day php's and no fingerprint stuff.

Hi! Not sure how this works. All I know is you insert pass at entry gate, you insert 2 fingers into their machine, your pass comes out and you are IN!!! We had to do this with our annual passes last year also. Really not a problem...not sure why they do it. CMs at gate will assist if needed. Takes no more than 10 seconds.

Maybe someone else here with more 'tech' knowledge can give more info. Sorry! Wish I could tell you more...:o

jgates -The "fingerprint thing", otherwise know as a biometric scan, has been used for several years with the Annual Passes. After you insert your pass into the turnstyle, a message will come up on the CM's display that you need to be scanned. The CM will request that you to insert your fingers into a device that records and compares your scan.

You place your index and middle finger of your right hand on this V-shaped pad until a series of red led lights turn off - signaling that your fingers have been positioned correctly. The easiest way to describe this is to make believe your fingers are scissors and you are squeezing them closed in the scanner.

The biometrics units take a series of photographs of your fingers - measuring your fingers and storing that scan onto the mag strip of your pass. Then every subsequent scan is compared against the one stored on the strip. Sort of like comparing your signature to one already on the pass. The finger biometrics are used on all adult AP/PAP's (and certain multiday admission like the WorldPass) sold to ages 10 and up.

The whole process takes about 5-10 seconds and is really simple. While is isn't 100% accurate (it often mis-scans, prompting the CM to ask for ID), the overall speed of the system allows WDW to move an enormous amount of people through very quickly.

Hope this helps, Steve

PS - Mai Ku Tiki - Beach Club Villas is gorgeous! Every bit as nice as the BoardWalk and much quieter. You will love your stays here. (I even got a "welcome home" from the registration desk!)

:o Thanks! It's just one of those things I really want to have clear in my head before hand.

Bought a new permanent marker today so I could write our names on our passes- I know if I get hot & sick I will never remember which character goes with who.
