Had an incredible time! I am trying to find the time to work on a TR but in the meantime...

We stayed in two different kid's suites! They were both amazing! If you have a child that loves Dr. Seuss you have to stay in one. We stayed three nights in one in the East wing ground floor. It had two very private patios on the bayside. It was a long walk to the boat but we loved it. It was steps away from the hillside pool and we had it to ourselves all trip long. The only down side to this suite over the Portofino suite is it only had one bathroom. We did not bring our camera this trip because we had so many pics of the Portofino Suite already. The Seuss kids room was beautiful! I did not want to leave it:rotfl2: I wish I had pictures to show everyone. We extended our stay by one night so they moved us over to another kids suite in the West wing. It was on the top floor right over the boat dock - next door to the Villa Suite. It had a large balcony off the king bedroom. It was decorated in a sailing decor but I was told it will be changed out to a Seuss theme very soon.

Everything was great as usual- resort was not busy at all. Crowds at the park were not too bad either. We had a great dinner at Latin Quarter one night and another great dinner at Nba City.

We are trying to fit in a 4th of July trip- while we were there they told us there will be a 4th of July picnic at the resort the night of the 4th.

Any questions I'll be happy to answer...

Thanks for the mini trip report. The kid suites sound awesome but we don't have any young ones anyone that would fit in the kid's beds! LOL! Your post did make me even more anxious for our upcoming trip over July 4th! After our mini trip earlier this month, we fell in love with PBH and switched our 4th ressies over from RPR. I called PBH yesterday or the day before about any BBQ/activities for the 4th and they said they may have a BBQ by the Beach Pool. After your post, I am hopeful it is not a "maybe" but more of a definite. Did they provide any other details. We have a cabana rented for the 4th so a BBQ that day would be perfect! Welcome Home!

Hope you have a great time on the 4th! I hope we can swing it- if we do I'd love to meet up. We were given a flyer at check-in that stated the following:

Friday the 4th of July- 7-10:00 pm
celebrate 4th of July in the Harbor Piazza and experience Music of the Night featuring Jazz sounds of the Robert Harris Band.
Childrens activities- Univ. Orlando characters, face painters, games , prizes and more.

Children 15.00 Adults 30.00 Picnic Menu
from the grill- Barbecue ribs, herb roasted chicken, italian sausage and peppers, hamburgers , boiled potatoes, corn on the cob and baked beans.

Potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad, watermelon and green salad.

personal pizzas, corn dogs and kids hamburgers.

Italian ices, chocolate chip cookies and popcorn.

Price includes non-alcoholic beverages. Alcololic beverages available for purchase.

I was told they would have activites all day and night at the Beach pool but not sure what they will be.

I know what you mean about falling in love with the Portofino- we have too!

Wow! Thank you for posting this information! Sounds like a plan for our family that night. We loved the Music of the Night during our visit earlier this month. It's funny that the event planning office did not have these details when I called within the last 2 days but flyers were printed and handed out to guests at check-in. I'm just happy they are planning something. I hope things work out that you can make it over the 4th. If so, make sure to post!
