Just returned from CBR & Wyndham.........

Hi Everyone,

I just returned from my Disney weddingmoon on Monday. We started our stay at the Wyndham Palace resort and spa and finished at CBR. Any questions feel free to ask.

Tell me about the Wyndham Palace. Thought we would like to try it sometime, especially a suite in the island buildings near the pool. Which type of room did you have?

That's the exact suite we had and we loved it! 1 1/2 bath, king size bed, very comfortable! microwave, small frig, two tv's, couch, table and 4 chairs.

The grounds were very nice. I loved the added touch of island" music playing throughout the day near the pool and tennis courts.

The only thing we didnt like was the food was very expensive. For example, for breakfast we had eggs, potatoes and my husband had a waffle. Cost $31.30! Yikes! The breakfast buffet was close to $20.00 per person.

This was my first time at CBR as well. (I stayed at POR last year and French Quarter many years before that)

I requested Aruba or Jamaica but when we checked in at 10:00 am, neither sections were available. So instead of waiting until 3:00 we took Barbados room 1542. The grounds were beautiful, but I'm sure you've heard before that this resort is very big! Trust me, they are right!

Unlike our stay last year at POR, we didnt like the food very much at CBR. We enjoyed every meal at POR! Of course this is just my personal opinion, other people might feel differently.

Pools were nice, transportation was outstanding!

How big is the stretch of beach at CBR? They mention it in the tour guide books and you can kinda see it in the pics. My DD wants to walk on the beach....maybe lay out on a beach chair. Is this possible there?

What exactly didnt' you like about the food? I will be there with an 8 year old--not a big eater and definitely not one for trying new foods.

There are several beaches at CBR. They have lounge chairs and hammocks on them also.

As far as I could see (and maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong) but each section has there own little beach, with beach chairs and lounge chairs. The section we were in even had a playground. (not sure about the other sections)

As far as the food, we found it to be very "plain". No seasonings. One day I did have the chicken nuggets and fries and they were fine. We didnt go to the restuarant so I can't speak upon there food.

The cookies were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! soft and chewy!!!!!!! Yummmm
