Another great update. You and your family are beautiful. Can't wait to read more. I do hope you are feeling all better now. Oh, and congrats on getting selected as the 'magical family'. Thats amazing!!!

Wow, great report! :thumbsup2 I love hearing about "1st" time cruising. We'll be cruising for the 1st time in May and we're so excited! Can't wait to read more!:goodvibes

We woke up once again to room service at 7 am. I walked around the sleeping kids and out to the verandah to find that we had entered paradise...We were starting to dock in Castaway Cay and it was really cool watching how the boat shoots out the "ropes" to the crew on shore and they pull it in and tie her up. We made the kids wake up and get dressed so we could go to breakfast. We had breakfast at Parrot Cay this time and it was really good. They really give you alot of options for food, whether your a picky eater and just want cereal or whether you want a fully loaded omlette the choice is yours. After breakfast we went back to the room and changed for the day, putting on bathing suits and shorts (89 degrees already) and getting my day bag ready. Don't forget lots and lots of sunscreen!! It felt like the carribean sun was so much closer than the sun here in VA..lol...We we disembarked and started walking toward the island and we felt truly in awe at the beauty and splender of the place. Everyone is so friendly and they have plenty of signs to point you in the right direction. We had received the extreme excursion package for being the "Magical Family" which included bike rides, floats, stingray adventure and snorkeling. The kids had to stop and take 20 pictures of the "Flying Dutchman" and then we saw Jack Sparrow (only the line was already closed..bummer) he looked just like Johnny Depp (ohhlaalaa..ha) and had the same mannerisms. Very cool. We decided to do the bike ride first so we would not be sandy and wet. They have very nice bikes just check to make sure your tires are not going flat before you leave (as mine were) and that your brakes work. They show you a map of where the trails are and they are all very clearly marked. This was a fantastic experience. The roads are all flat and some shady. We just took our time and strolled around. They have a lookout tower on one side and we went there first, that was a beautiful view. You could see how far the boat was away also. After the wonderful bike ride (do it you won't regret it) we decided to just find a place on the beach and play until our stingray adventure at 12. Just remember when you get into Castaway Cay keep walking until you almost reach the stingray adventure hut and you will have alot of the beach to yourselves. I was amazed that people didn't walk down that far and kind of huddled up near the first part. Anyway we spread out beneath the umbrella (yes I have had enough burnt skin by now) and the kids walk right behind us to get the floats and jump right in. Well let me tell you what I put my toe in and was about to cry it was so cold!! I stood there for a few minutes and then went to lay down, so much for getting hot and sweaty riding bikes..lol...We stayed here for a while, DH decided he was thirsty and walked a county mile to get a watered down coke..lol...(they have water places all over the place) It is now 12 am and time to go to the Stingray Adventure! This starts a whole new set of issues so I will post this story in Part 2 on Monday!!!

WONDERful report! We're sailing on the Wonder in just under three weeks so I'm really enjoying and appreciating the details that you're sharing!

I am enjoying reading about your cruise. We will be on our first cruise starting June 1 and will be staying in 7052 on the Wonder. We have two children - a DS 10 and a DD 4. Any tips you have would be so helpful. Can't wait for your next post.

(1st post)

Looks like a great time! My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon on the same cruise, and we had just gotten married on previous 3-night!
