Day 9 -- I am feeling Fine
So this morning we are starting out a little slower. We all sleep in until about 10:30 and man did we all need it. When I wake up I call down to room service to see if they will still be able to bring us breakfast and how many credits it will run us. We have the deluxe dining so we have all table service credits. The nice lady CM that answered the phone said it would only cost us 4 credits for breakfast and it included grat. Sounded good to me -- so we ordered the Family Style Breakfast. When asked if we wanted tea or coffee? I said neither, please. About three minutes after placing the order the phone rang. A very nice english sounding gentleman was calling back and asking about our drinking preferences. I told him that we didn't drink coffee or tea, just diet soda. He asked if we were going to a park today? I said yep, and he said okay I have the perfect idea. He then said he wanted to make sure we got something in place of the hot drinks so that we got our money's worth. How thoughtful of him.
My DH cleared all our stuff off of the coffee table and then round table in the room and I proceeded to get in the shower. About 20 minutes later there is a knock on the door and the breakfast is here ! We were brought Mickey Waffles,Pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs and a HUGE fruit bowl. Plus orange juice and diet sodas. In place of our hot drink he had brought 4 large bottled waters for us to take with us to the park. Very nice indeed. The gentleman who came to our room brought an extra small bowl and a can of whip cream, he made a design in the bowl with the whip cream and then instructed my kids to dip the strawberries. They loved it.
When he first arrived he spread a white linen table cloth over the coffee table and laid out a HUGE spread of food. Looked like enough for 8 people. He then talked with my family, asking us how we were enjoying our stay. He told us that he had been a butler for a family for 30 years before coming to work at The Beach Club. He then went on to tell my DD how he had served breakfast to Miley Cyrus at this hotel many times. She loved that. All the food was great and this was something we would do again in a minute.
After breakfast we relaxed. At about 1:00 we left the room to head over to Hollywood Studios. We get on the boat and begin our 12 minute journey.
Once we are inside my DH runs to go get fastpasses for Rock n Roller Coaster - I tell him to use all tickets to get passes but him and my son will be the only ones riding it. I am no where near ready for that kind of shock to my system.
We then head to do Muppets 3-D before lunch.
I love this movie and we are able to sit up very close to the orchestra of pequins.
Then it is time for us to head to the 50's prime time for lunch. This is our first time and I am very excited. I have to warn DD that they will be joking alot but not to take anything serious- she can be a little touchy about rules and eating veggies

We are seated almost immediatly at a table that has a tv.
We are then greeted by our cousin Mike. He tells the kids that the house rules are no elbows on the table and no fighting. He then puts napkins and silverware in the middle of the table and tells the kids to get to work setting the table or they won't get any drinks.
Cousin Mike returns with our drinks and we take a few family photos.
We all order chicken noodle soup for our appetizer. When Mike brings back our soup he sees that our drinks are already gone. He takes the empty cups and shakes his head in disapproval at DH and I. A couple minutes later he returns with 3 diet sodas for both of us (6 total)--- he throws a pile of straws in the middle of the table and says "Here you go, You darn Camels !!" My kids laughed so hard.
The tv was playing footage from the opening day of
Disneyland Park.
For our entress DH ordered Grandma's Pot Pie, I ordered Cousin Eric's grilled Chicken Sandwich, the kids ordered mac n cheese and nuggets.
When Cousin Mike came back to clear all of our dishes he handed my DH a map of the park and said you are going to need this later trust me. My DH looked puzzled and opened up the map -- inside Cousin Mike had taken a sharpie and circled all the restroom locations through out the park..At the top he had wrote -- Bed Wetters Helper !! It was hysterical-- I don't know the last time we laughed so much.
Then Cousin Mike comes back to take our desert order. My DH says Oh I don't even think I could fit desert, I barely finished my meal. Cousin Mike says --" Look maybe if you wouldn't have sucked down so much pop you would have room!" -- now pick a desert

We used these neat view finders to look at the desert menu..
When Cousin Mike returned he sat DH's desert in front of him... it was the chicken pot pie he had not finsihed covered with whip cream, candy mickey's and sprinkles. My DH looked mortified... Cousin Mike said -- "You didn't really think you were going to get desert without finishing your meal did you?"
Here is DH pretending to eat it....
Before bringing out the real deserts Cousin Mike stands on a chair and announces that it is Cousin Donna's B-Day and everyone needs to stop what they are doing and get ready to sing to cousin Donna. They begin to sing and everytime it comes to my name he screams COUSIN DONNA ! Then he takes a card out of his apron and says-- "I know you are all cheap- so I bought a card sign it." He then put it down on a table of cousins- and they passed it through the whole dining room -- When I got it back it was filled with birthday wishes from every guest in our section of the dining room. Hysterical !
The real deserts were Smore's and a Brownie Sundae :
This is one resturant I can not wait to go back to. Good food and even a better time ! Cousin Mike was GREAT !!
