We just returned from Disney world after a week stay at the Beach Club Villa's in a 2 bedroom.
We had problem after problem at the resort with staff members being rude, not at all helpful and having a no care attitude.
To start things off check in took over an hour with an agent, and when we arrived we were not greeted outside. When we arrived a bellmen took our luggage and told us he would hold it until the room was ready and told us to go inside and check in. This was sunday morning around 10:30. We didn't get to venture out until noon.
We did purchase the dining plan and I would not do this again, its no where near the cost and the service is terrible. For our party tips averaged 50 a meal and denny;s has better service, which is sad. Sometimes even had better food.
We asked the hotel some basic questions about where our room would be located, pool information, and basic hours and well that seemed like pulling teeth from the front desk staff.
When we did return and complain we were just given a business card to write a letter and that was it, they didn't care. Needless to say our party will not be returning to Disneyworld for at least 5 years, and will not stay with disney again.
We did arrive a few nights before and stayed "off property" and went to sea world. We discovered that sea world had more christmas decorations in the 1 park than disney had in all 4 and more things going on for christmas at sea world. Boy were we dissapointed.
Well our room was somewhat dirty and the carpets looked as if they havent been cleaned since the resort opened.
We just wondered where the quality at disney has gone the food quality is way down and garden grill and 1900 park fare were barely edible. I mean you can get better food at a 6.99 buffet neadless to say these were over 40 bucks an adult.
We just will stop there as the only part of the trip that was fun was ebing with the family and making things great ourselves. the parks havent changed in years and everyone kinda laughed relly hard at all the rehashed things and thought it was a joke they brought back so many old things, the main street eleictrical parade, disney is the king of bringing back something instead of omehting new. We were not impressed with quality disney offers, we spent 1/6 of what we expected in souviniers simply because most now is junk or you can buy it somewhere else for 1/2 the price.
Needless to say we dont have anything good to say but lesson learned. We cancelled out D23 expo trip and cruise for next summer on disney and will stay away until quality returns. Spending top dollar for junk isn't what we do.
