Hello everyone!
Just back tonight and I thought I would post my dining reviews in a couple different emails. CAST: Me- 32 years old, and Adam- Fiance also 32 years old. We moved to Central Florida recently and are now both seasoned veterans of WDW.
We were on the Dining Plan. We booked the Florida Resident package with free dining. It was awesome and a LOT of food! We ate our table service meals at Le Cellier, CRT, Spoodles and 50's Prime Time. I'll share our experiences at Le Cellier and CRT in this posting.
We had reservations at 8:45pm at Le Cellier on the night we arrived. It was extra magic hours at EPCOT that night so we were able to wander back out into the park and walk on several rides which we thoroughly enjoyed! Were seated promptly upon arriving, no wait time at all. Adam ordered Shrimp Cocktail for an appetizer. It got an A+ for presentation and Adam reported an A+ for taste. I ordered the Beef Barley Soup, it was ok. Nothing overly special in my opinion. We decided to use only 1 dining credit tonight since I was not overly hungry. So we ordered the Surf and Turf and split it. I don't eat Lobster, so Adam ate that. He reported that it was pretty good, but he had had better. Filet mignon was pretty good also but it was slightly undercooked. Adam liked the rareness, I wanted it a wee bit more done. Oh well, I dealt with it! For dessert we had the Fruit Cobbler. It was very good, gets an A+ from us. The only thing is I wish there were more than one tiny scoop of ice cream on the top. We shared 1 dining credit so we had to pay for my beverage (soda) and my appetizer. In the end, we were both extremely full! My report on Le Cellier overall....B+ as I dont' think we had anything totally extraordinary except maybe for Adam's shrimp cocktail. Total price for dinner...about $60 and an extra $8 out of pocket, used 1 dining credit.
On night #2 we had seating at 4:35pm at Cinderellas. We arrived a tad bit early and were seated immediately. MK closed at 6:00pm that night as the Night of Joy concert was playing that night. I absolutely LOVE the surroundings in there. Being in the castle, walking up the red carpeted circular staircase, the grandiose feeling of being in that room....A+++ on enviance! The menu I found a bit lacking. We have eaten there before with the same comment from me. We keep going back because... well...frankly we like the excitement of eating in the castle. We decided again to use 1 dining credit and pay extra for beverage and appetizer. Adam ordered some kind of shrimp appetizer (Adam ALWAYS orders some kind of Shrimp appetizer!!!). He enjoyed it. I ordered the French Onion Soup as it was the soup of the day. It was REALLY good! For our entree we shared the king cut prime rib. This time it was a bit over-cooked. We couldn't seem to get it right! It was good though. I am not a big fan of the root smashed potatoes so it got a B- from me but an A from Adam. For dessert of course we had the white chocolate slipper and fixings. It got an A+ for presentation, an A for taste. We LOVED it! Everyone around our table was staring at it when it came out! Again we ended up both extremely full. This was definitely the FASTEST in and out of a restaurant I've ever had. We were seated, ate, paid and walked out within an hour. It was lightning fast, the fastest of all meals we had. My overall opinion of CRT is .... B. Gets an A in some areas, a B for what seemed like the rushing of dinner and of course an A in the location and setting! We'll probably eat here again. Oh, and about $60 again overall, with one dining credit used and about $8 out of pocket.
Stay tuned for reviews of Spoodles and 50's Prime Time.....
