just remind me, do DVC APs bought on the website activate instantly or on first use?

I know this is a simple one but I usually just renew my AP which just becomes a continuation of the old one. But this time is was more economical to let it lapse and get a new one for the December trip.

So, if I buy an AP from the link on the DVCMember site, will it be will call and activate on first use or will it start from the purchase date?

Will Call. It will be active once you exchange for the actual AP.

as noted, you will have to exchange for an AP. This can only be done at Guest Services at the parks or DD I believe so allow a few minutes to do so.

You may also need your blue membership card and to be able to document the address of anyone else even if you pre-purchase.
