Just received a text from DCL

First time I've ever received a text from DCL. It stated the Bahamas policy for all passengers 12 and older to be vaccinated and that under 12 yo guests needed a PCR test taken between 5 days and 24 hours before the cruise.

I wonder if they are still having issues with people showing up with no PCR text done for their kids and are concerned they will have even bigger issues with guests 12 and older showing up not vaccinated? Just found it interesting they sent a text.

Disney just called us to let us know we weren't "clear" (waiting for my son's PCR test) for our sailing this Friday 9/3.

I think that the take-away is that the Bahamas is Closed (including private islands) unless you are fully vaccinated. I also saw this weekend that DCL will ONLY be stopping at Castaway Cay - No Nassau in the near future.

And yes, it sounds like people have been arriving at the port withOUT having tests completed for the U12 crowd.

I received the text also. Sailing 9/6 with only vaccinated adults. I double checked Safe Passage to make sure it still said clear to sail & all was good there. Hoping it was just a mass text to remind people.

We got the mass-text, but since we have a non-vaccinated child, we also got a targeted phone call. I was pleasantly surprised.

Sail on 9/6. Just 2 of us, me and my 17yo. Both of us are fully vaccinated. Vaccine cards have been uploaded to safe passage for over 2 weeks. Received emails from Safe Passage a day after we uploaded the cards saying we were cleared. And being the obsessive person that I am, I've checked their website twice since receiving the cleared emails to make sure it says the same thing there. It does.

Definitely a mass text. I'm glad they are taking the extra steps to reach people.

I also got the text. Leaving 9/6 on the Dream - last week my results showed clear - today shows pending (what the heck). Also booked on Fantasy 9/11 - Safe Passage still shows clear.

It's definitely a good and proactive thing for DCL to do...regardless of whether they think people will show up unprepared. It's a good reminder for some while informing others who weren't aware. I would hope this was sent in time for people to get the pre-arrival tests done.

My daughter is really looking forward to this last chance at being in the Vibe. This is the 3rd time we've rescheduled this cruise. When I had to reschedule from March, I picked the last date we could do a 4 night and DD could be in the Vibe for the whole trip, hoping it would sail. She turns 18 on the 15th.

I had told my daughter for a couple of years we would try to do a Disney cruise so she could go to the Vibe. She turns 18 on 9/20, as soon as they announced they were sailing again I booked it.

I just got the email around 6:00. Just saying ours is a Halloween on the High Seas and we are encouraged to bring costumes.
