Is this true ? how is that possible?is that like you are showering and can't close the door cause there is none? I have a GV booked for this Nov and my friends daughter is in one with her 2 children as they are little 7 & 2..is this going to be a problem? please help you GV people..if you have any pics please post a link here..TIA Marianne RICH WHERE ARE YOU WHEN I NEED YOU!!

I can't believe this is true. Have you checked the photo gallery on wdwig.com? I KNOW they have GV pics there.

Okay, just looked and you can see the doorlatch on one of the bathroom pictures. Just go over to wdwig.com and reassure yourself.

There are also no doors to the bedrooms.

It really makes for a close vacation.

I think one of the resaons that points are so much less is that there are no doors on the upstairs bathrooms at OKW.

It takes a little getting used to, but I will gladly give up a bathroom door to save a few points.

I was admonished once before for giving false information, remember, "One of the draw backs to a December use year is that you can't vacation in December due to the eleven month window"

I can't do it again, sorry, but all the bedrooms and bathrooms in all DVC resort rooms have doors.

Sorry for being the drama queen but the post that had the lady who lost her GV said that there was no door to the showering area in the bathroom..so naturally I went into a tizzy like I always do..thanks for letting me get crazy and for answering me so soon..Marianne 50DAYS LEFT TILL OUR 1ST GV..JUST WENT TO LOOK AT THE PHOTO'S AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE SINK IS OUTSIDE THE BATHROOM.so I guess its like a split bath like on DCL?

The upstairs bathrooms have a toilet, tub and shower in one room with a door. There is a sink outside the toilet, tub, and shower area. No door.

A time for a tizzy is AFTER you explore the facts. :) Plenty of time to do it then if the tizzy is warrented.

I've also heard this from a friend who stayed in a GV. There is no separate door to the shower area in the master bedroom, only the toilet is behind another door. Simliar to the way there is no separate door to the jacuzzi area in the master bedroom in a 1 or 2 bedroom, in a GV the shower is also there. She didn't like the fact that if her children wandered into the master bedroom they could walk in on her showering. I guess you have to lock the bedroom door while you are showering (is there a door? It's hard to tell from the diagram in guidebook). The other 2 bedrooms are as Gail described. Is there a shower in the extra bathroom off the living room?

Yes, there is a door to the master bedroom.
Yes, there is a shower in the extra bathroom. :)

No - just in the master bathroom in GV.....the bathroom set up is hugh bedroom, with bath towards back in the same large room, with whirlpool tub, sinks and shower. There is a small closet that houses the toilet. This open concept makes the bedroom off limits to the kids when I shower plus......remember to close the drapes that face the patio off the great room......you don't want your closest friends and relatives watching!! The Marriott Grande Vista is like this too. The upstairs bathrooms have a sink then a tub and toilet inside a separate room, that does have a door. When it is really busy (12 in the GV) I have been known to use the really nice 4th bath in the front hallway. I just love the ceramic tile work in there!

Is the first message in this thread a question about the GVs at OKW, BWV, or HHI? (I assume it's not about SSR because the first message mentions, "I have a GV booked for this Nov.")

Were the replies about OKW, BWV, HHI, or SSR? (Only Richyams specifically mentioned OKW.)

I assumed it was OKW because the person who lost their GV reservation was at OKW.

I found this picture on Deb's site. It says it is the bathroom in the double-bed bedroom. It looks the way Gail described.

Yes, There is a Door!
