Just read Disney Club to be discontinued?? Anyone with details?

Just read on another thread on the DVC board that the Disney Club is being discontinued in Dec. 2003.

Can anyone elaborate? What happened??? I have had a DC membership for years...............I am disappointed!!

I've been a DC subscriber for years too. Doesn't seem like it has the perks it once did.

There is a post on the Resort board that has a little more explanation but not much...it was sent to the DC manager at businesses. Also stated individual members should receive a letter in Oct.
