JUST purchased my Airfare on Southwest for $49.00 Each Way!!!!

That's great news! Many of the nay-sayers here insisted that SW wouldn't be offering $49 fares again, but I had a gut feeling they would.. I read not too long ago that SW had locked in their gas prices for TWO YEARS - not the previous one year - or 18 months - that others were reporting - so I was fairly certain we would see these great fares again..

I, too, am sooooo jealous! I got so excited when I saw this email yesterday, but my excitement quickly faded when I saw that the travel thru date was 09/29/05, one (1) day prior to our departure date of 09/30/05 - aaaaaaaagh! Will I ever get a good rate for this trip?!?

I just got the sale fare for $49 each way from MHT in Sept. I got a Ding, but the sale fare was lower.

$115.40 total Round trip, coincidently this is the EXACT amount that I paid for my Sept trip last year.

So it probably won't go any lower than that.

Yea! I booked MHT to MCO at the $49 rate yesterday! Previously, I had booked the Ding fare of $55, so I changed the reservation and now have $63 travel credit for my next trip!

I was able to book RDU/MCO for $39 each way. With the Swan/Dolphin education discount rate of $99 per night I couldn't resist a trip. I even have leftover tickets from my last trip. I'm making my first solo trip and really looking forward to doing what I want to do and doing it for a whole lot less than I normally spend!
