it is nearly $400.00 CAD. They all seem to be. Does anyone know if prices go down ( my dates are nearly a year away) or if this is the best I will get? On the positive side, it does include a free shuttle to the port I believe.

Wait. While hotels there are expensive they don't need to be $400

You could ask your Travel Agent who booked your cruise what they have? Often they have access to suppliers who have better hotel rates.

We paid around $220 USD including tax for the Hilton Garden Inn in February, which we booked about two months out, so I would recommend waiting since I’m fairly certain that the price will drop closer to the time or at least a good promotion will pop up.

Ok go to Trinity Reservations and Park Sleep Fly websites and fill in your details and see what those two are offering. They have pretty consistently good deals and both sites are completely reputable. I’ve used both myself many times.

Which hotel? We booked one pre-cruise in Blue Lagoon area. It includes free airport shuttle, breakfast and wufi. They offer port shuttle for surcharge . Think it was about $289 CAD (but we booked in August too for $100 less). Having harder time finding one post cruisr.

Comfort suites airport north. I got a rate of 283 USD for 4. Includes shuttle from airport and port free of charge and breakfast. This is for the middle of March which is more high season as well and 2019. If I subtract off port shuttle charges I would pay elsewhere, it isn’t too bad I guess. Most of the hotels seem to be in the sane general call park for that time of year. This is a mini suite with two queens and a sleeper sofa. I am travelling with my then 14 and 17 year old daughters and the friend of my older daughter. Having the extra bed would be nice.

Are you flying into Miami? It is sometimes cheaper to stay near Fort Lauderdale, there are shuttles that pick up at the FLL airport hotels there and take you to the Miami port. I normally fly to FLL because I can get direct flights. But if you are flying into Miami then it obviously doesn't help :)

For the middle of March that isn't a surprise. In three trips down for March Break, and it has been $400-$500 each time. It is spring break in a lot of US states, this past March the biggest demographic on our cruise on Navigator of the Seas was the 18-22 age group.

You can get cheaper but that requires travalling farther away from airports, cruise ports, beaches, etc. But that would likely require a car rental which probably takes care of any savings you may get.

Only thing that worries me a bit is there is no restaurant at the hotel apart from the breakfast room and some people posted that it was in an area you might not want to walk around in. I have never been to Miami and will be with three teenaged girls. Not sure if I should look for something else. The hotel reviews sound good though.

I love this site for hotels in Miami: last minute travel club

It is priced in us dollars but the prices are a lot cheaper than any other site. We like to stay in the Brickell area before a cruise as there are tons of restaurants, shops, drug stores. It is only around $15 to the PortMiami.

We used the Best Western Premier International Airport when we did our cruise out of Miami. It was 150 a night...and we paid 10.00 for a shuttle to the port. It was a nice hotel with good food/drinks. It had great beds and was quiet. It was close to the airport so a taxi was cheap to get there.

The last 2 years we've done cruises out of Miami, but we always drive. What we do to avoid the high prices is stay in Titusville for under $100 and then drive the remaining 3 hours the morning of the cruise.

Hi, when we cruised out of Miami we stayed at the Residence Inn near the airport. It is in a Marriott village with 2 other Marriott hotels. Free shuttle from airport to hotel. Nice pool and some nights they have a free social with snacks and beer. One of the hotels has a decent restaurant. There is a small plaza with a Walgreens and a small Cuban grocery store(bought some great Cuban bread!) McDonalds and KFC as well. We walked over in the afternoon and felt safe. Hotel can arrange a shuttle to the Port for a fee.
