Wishing you the best pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Enjoy your trip!

The great thing about Disney is the magic helps you to forget about the real world. A day before we were leaving for a Disney trip 4 years ago, I had a miscarriage. There isn't anything that can heal a broken heart but being in the magic of Disney surrounded by pixie dust sure does help. Try to enjoy your trip - the real world will be there when you get home...you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Here's some extra pixiedust:pixiedust:for your trip and after. Hope everything works out for you. I have IBS too and since we're in the same state I had to send some extra magic your way. Let the World take your worries away for a while :goodvibes ...have a fab trip & take care!

cheers,

Hi there - saw your post and just wanted to say this test is a breeze compared with some others I've had and that you've probably had too.

I have Crohns Disease and usually have a colonoscopy every two years - last year I had to have an endoscopic ultrasound because my doctor found a tumor in my stomach when he was performing a standard endoscopy looking for Crohns related issues. There's no pre-test prep involved in this, it's just like having a regular endoscopy in that they'll put you on an IV and then make you gargle to numb up your throat and then shoot you full of happy, sleepy drugs.

The only after-effect of the test, other than being dopey, is a sore throat for a few hours.

Don't worry too much and just have a lovely time at WDW - all of this can wait until you get home! :goodvibes

Hi everyone:wave: I can't even begin to tell you how comforting it is to read all of your posts. Today is the day I need to make the appointment for this stupid test and I am dreading it. I was about to call but decided to check the boards first (as I always do in the mornings) and continue to read your posts. I don't know what I would do without this community, it is so nice of all of you to share some of your personal stuff with me and to read all of your stories and for those of you that have had the test done to share your experiences. We leave in 3 days now so my excitement is up there! :yay:

I can sort of relate.....A few years back I had a lump in my breast and went to a breast specialist. I went to my first appointment and he wanted to do a biopsy on the spot. I was so scared. (This was also a week before I was to leave for my vacation to San Diego). The results weren't supposed to be back for about 10 days but I was so nervous about leaving and not knowing so I called the day of my trip and got the results.

It was a scary time for sure. I remember my husband having such a wonderful attitude and calmed me down. He just told me no matter what the results, we'll take the trip and take care of it when we get home.

Good luck to you...I will send you well wishes and hope everything turns out ok. Have a wonderful trip. We love the AKL.
