JUST PASSED ROFR!! NOw, is there a "DVC for Dummies" lol

It FINALLY happened...we are DVC members!! So we have done a TON of research on these boards before buying and now that its becoming a reality, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a website that has consolidated info for new DVC members on banking, borrowing, waitlisting, and just rules in general. I have the general idea but I feel as if I need a "DVC for Dummies" rule book so I know how to get the most from our points!!

Also, we have the set day to close on November 25. Before we even had OWNING DVC on our minds, we booked a trip in January. We have the airfare and hotel but are going to cancel the hotel. We are hoping to use some poins for that trip even if it means switching resorts and rooms every day lol (we seriously dont care since its already booked!). What can we do about tickets? AP? How and when should we buy them? We plan on visiting twice in 2015.

i would just do some searches on this site.

just don't cancel the hotel until you are sure you can put together a DVC trip.

AP sounds like a good plan. i would just buy them at the parks (make sure you have your blue DVC member card.)

Definitely wait to cancel until your points are loaded and you make sure can get a reservation. I am currently selling a contract that was set to close on or before 10/15 and I am still waiting.
