I haven't counted mine but have only been collecting since late September. Just wondering if anyone actually knows how many pins they have or approx. and how long they have been collecting.

Been collecting since late 99 and I have about 1500 or so pins...

I started October 1, 1999. I estimate 1200 Keepers and 200 Traders. (Lot more traders today than before the gallery pins went on sale for 99 cents!)

I have been collecting pins for 32 years? These are Travel, Olympic, Disney etc.
15 years ago I got my first Disney pin.
I dont want to think about how many pins I have Disney and non Disney. LOL

Just under 1500 keepers and loads of traders. Got my first Disney pin on my honeymoon in 1975. Collect other pins including military units.

I've been collecting since 1999. Including keepers and traders, I have about 1500 pins.

I started just over a year ago and have well over 600, easily. And it grows with each mail day.
If I included all my extras, HRC, and each pin, rather than sets, it would be pushing 700, I am guessing.

I completed my first pin trade in August of 1983, in Helsinki, Finland. I traded with a Russian gentleman who spoke no English, and I speak no Russian. Somehow, we both came away happy.
Started Disney pin collecting/trading in November of 1999. Currently have about 250 keepers and about 50 traders/doubles. A visit to a Gallery store will jack that number up considerably!

I've been collecting Disney pins for about 15 years. Just refer to them as "a bunch". or "I have too pins."

I haven't counted my pins, but I know it has to be close to 300, if not more. I have been collecting since late 1999 with a little help from a friend. He has addicted me to this hobby. Should I say thank you? LOL

I have been collecting for 2 years and have about 3000 keepers and 4 to 5 hundred traders and i'm still trying to get more. How sick is that? Kris:crazy:

Been at this for just under a year and have 600 keepers and about 250 traders. I was quite surprised when I check PinPics!! Not sure how up to date the keeper pile is either. May be closer to 700.

I have 3 keepers and 2 traders, and I have been doing this for 8 months now.

Actually I stopped counting after 1000 I was getting too depressed, but the worst part is me and the missus collect almost the same thing she copies me cause she's jealous, so we have almost two of everything.

She mainly collects metal pins with pointy sharp backs on them, or anything with any Disney Character, Disney personnel, Imagineering, Disney movies, Disney parks, attractions, building, resorts, landscape, Euro Disney, Disneyland, WDW, Disney Paris, Tokyo, TDS….. and anything else that I might want or find on a lanyard.:p

And now any Arizona Diamondbacks pin as well.

I've been collecting since 1999 and probably have less than 200 pins and practically no traders. I don't get to WDW often nor do I buy from the e*** site! So it makes for a low inventory. :jester:

I've been collecting since May and have about 70 pins, mostly keepers. Not much, but I've really enjoyed the correspondence that I have had with others on the board.

We started 2 years ago last week when we were in WDW on our honeymoon.

And how many? Let's see ... there are the 101 pins .... about 12 here on the computer table ... probably 12-15 per page in the pin backpack ... about 8 pages ... carry the 2 ...

oh, heck with it .....

A LOT!!!!!

:D

We have been collecting on and off since 76 ......alot more in the last three years than the occasional pin we picked up for boys hats in earlier years......count at last look was over 1900. not including traders. Don't even want to think of it in $$ signs...

We have been enjoying this hobby of collecting pins and friends since late 1999. We started trading for the first time while spending New Year 1999/2000 down in Walt Disney World. As we were planning our trip my wife says to me that "Pin trading is going on down there as part of the Millennium Celebration and it sounds like something fun that we could do since it will just be the two of us going down there. Do you want to do some trading on our trip?" I said "Sure, we can try." A seemingly simple conversation.......

I have to admit that I did count pins prior to our October trip to WDW. It would be hard to be totally accurate now since we have actually been building steadily more since then, but I know we have over 3000 pins in our collection and over 2000 pins to trade. Go ahead and point and say "See....They are really nuts!!!" We are having fun though and that is what counts. I framed 6 new sets of pins over the last weekend.

Let's see, we've been collecting since Oct. 1999. That's when the DS Millennium series started, and we traded for the first time during our Dec., 1999 trip to the World.
As far as how many pins we have, I usually don't try to think about it, but a quick check of Pinpics reveals we have 2150 keepers and over 300 traders. (Oh, God! You made me look!)
Even though my wife, Linda says she doesn't trade pins, she is very 'instrumental' in acquiring more of them! We both have a lot of fun trading pins and meeting new people. We wouldn't know what it was like to visit WDW without taking our pin bag or lanyards with us anymore!
