Just Ordered My DIS shirt

I just ordered my new lime green dis shirt from the new store......I also got a water wallet. I hope it gets here before my cruise on nov. 6! I know what I'll be wearing when I board. Anybody else order anything yet?

Yesterday I selected my shirts and several other things, went through all the motions of the ordering process, and when I got to the page where you enter your credit card, there was no "secure lock" showing anywhere. Needless to say, I backed out of my order, and sent an email for help. Dorothy answered almost immediately, and will notify me when the site is secure. I can hardly wait to place my order! Paranoid me won't put my credit card online without some kind of security. If all else fails, I will phone in my order next week!

How much do you think I'll have to bribe my kids to wear one?

I ordered a water box but, after almost ordering one from RON JON's website I knew that two sizes are made and, despite the absolute cuteness of the puppy provided for scale, I still don't know what size my new water box will be. I passed on the T- shirt. I love the DIS, its members, and its board of information, but I draw the line at a lime green T shirt that will make me look like a runaway popsicle. I may get the gray one if I can dig up $17.00 that escapes my cruise fund. I didn't notice the lack of lock. .....

Most likely not, I am just an over paranoid worry wart about things like that. It should be fine, sorry to worry you.

I'm in the same category as moocow; There's stuff we want on there, but won't go until it is secure. That is your credit card information, being sent across the internet UNENCRYPTED. What that means is anyone who can snoop on internet traffic can pick it up along the way between your pc and wherever the shopping pc is. Not a good thing. And that could mean many vulnerable points, the internet is not a direct connection between your pc and here. Think of it as an interstate roadmap with any citites/towns being the connection points. My advice is you're probably safe, considering the amount of traffic the internet has, but I'd watch card statements for the next few months.

Now I don't feel so paranoid. I as a rule will not order anything online unless I am sure it is a secure site. I did email them, and this is the response I received almost immediately:

By the way... We ordered stuff from the shop- It is now a secure site! Two grey tees and some antenna toppers! Got them promptly and in good packing

We ordered two lime green tee shirts! Also a couple of luggage tags. We got an extra luggage tag and a keychain free (that was the promotion at the time, don't know if it's still valid)

Everything is great! The lady I spoke with on the phone was VERY helpful. My order totaled around $30 and she told me if I ordered just one more small thing I'd save shipping! Might as well GET something for my $5!

Shipping was prompt! Great store! Keep up the hard work!

I ordered as soon as I was notified the store was secure. Got two shirts, a lanyard, and my free luggage tag and key chain. Shipping was the same day I ordered, and it came immediately. Wonderful store to do business with!

I think the only place you can get "cruise" things while not on the cruise is Ebay. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

We got our Grey T shirts from the DIS. Very happy with them. Should be easier to spot DISers at the Parks or on the Ships.
Can't wait!!
