This trip was a mother/daughter one to celebrate my mum's birthday next month
We left Siena around 10 destination Pisa Aiport where we got on time. Our flight was due at 14.35 and we were delayed just a little, at 14.50 we left for Paris were we safely landed at 16.20.
We had just to wait a few minutes for our shuttle bus to arrive - we had booked via RS Transport and it was a Paris Blue Shuttle to pick us up - and in about 45 minutes we were at our hotel.
It was a lovely cosy hotel in the town center (our district was the same of Arc DeTriomphe) and our room was on the third floor with a nice *stylish* one with a small balcony on the main road.
During day 1 and 2 we wandered around Paris and its wonderful places:
Day 3 as planned was DLRP day
We asked for an early breakfast, got ready and caught a train to DLRP.
It took about 45 minutes to get there with the RER A plus another 10 from our hotel to the RER station but we got there perfectly on time for the park to open.
As the official opening was at 10 (but we got into at 9.30) we wandered around a little then started queueing for Frontierland as we wanted to go on BTM first. Wrong. It was down for – as they said – one minute to one hour so not worth to wait and we just walked to Phantom Manor where we got into with the first group of the morning.
When we got off we had a technical stop at the toilettes and then walked through Frontierland and much to our delight we saw BTM had opened. One more we were in the first train and my mum thought it was amazing, there was a lady shacking when it stopped anyway and she said she had been scared to death.
Off to BTM we walked to Pirates where there was actually no queue and the boats were half empty.
Now I may be wrong but I seem to remember the last *slide* of this attraction (when you get bombed) was a lot quicker, anyone but me think it was?
We walked to IASW then but – much to my disappointment – it was down for the day so we had a ride in the Tea Cups (another walk in) and then to Star Tours. I really wanted my mum to try it as she is a Star War fun (well my kids made her a fan of lol) and she enjoyed it a lot.
It was the time for Buzz then, I’d liked to go on Space Mountain but I think it’s not fun on your own and so I did not.
We had a walk around Fantasyland and saw a huge crowd for Pinocchio when SnowWhite was down. BTW: PM, Pirates and Buzz all stopped a couple of times when we were on.
Peter Pan’s queue was 20 minutes and so we joined there. It was actually a little longer but well worth it.
It was midday past then as we were hungry so left DLPark and went to WDS instead where we had lunch at Blockbuster Café, now HSM cafè or something I think.
After lunch I asked my mum if she’d like to join me on TOT but she said *no*. I was too excited to go anyway and so I went on my own. I actually skip the queue a little when we got in front of the elevators as they needed a single person and I was the only one on my own lol
We then walked to Toy Story Playland and joined the queue to Slinky Dog. IMO it’s a ride for little kids and we did not like it a lot so we joined the queue for Parachute Drop which was the longest for the day: 40 minutes.
We both liked this ride and would had been on again if it had not had such a long queue.
I wanted to show Crush to my mum and as we were walking we (well she actually did) saw Mickey arriving for the meet and greet and were the third to have a picture with him, my mum got a kiss too.
Studio Tram tour then, made shorter by the building of TSP but anyway still enjoyable.
As the Parks were both closing at 6 pm that day and we wanted to see the parade we moved back to DL Park and in front of the Studios we bumped into Minnie Mouse and had a picture with her too.
A walk around the shops and a cold drink as it was SO hot and we sat waiting for the parade.
I just love the atmosphere in the streets and the parade brought me to tears as always, even more as it meant our day in DLRP had almost got to the end!!
We slowly walked back to the entrance and left the Parks to go to the Village.
We sat for a while along the Disney Lake and watched Panoramagique going up and down a few times then we walked back to Annette’s for Dinner.
I will write a review on the Restaurant Tread but I think other times food had been better.
Another quick look in the shops and then it was time to the train for going back, leaving there my heart as always...
