Just Off the Phone With WDW Florist

I want to have a Halloween themed basket sent to my son at the WL next week and I had sent an email about customizing an existing basket. A CM called me back and told me they will be doing one small Halloween basket this year. It's going to be a plastic Stitch trick or treat bucket with some candy in it. The CM told me I could add anything I want to the basic set up. So she's going to call me once they have the prototype so she can tell me exactly what is in it. I'm so excited that they're going to have something like this!

Here is what I'm hoping I can put together with the basic set up.

A Mickey Plush
A Pooh Plush
Mickey Pretzels
Character Cookies
Mickey candy bars
Several character balloons

She also told me that the basic set up would be around $30.00.

She also told me that the "powers that be" don't think that a Halloween basket would generate enough interest and she and I both agreed that they're wrong! So, if you would love to see a Halloween theme basket from WDW Florist, send the florist an email stating that so that they get more and more options!!!

Hope this helps anyone that is interested in sending a gift basket to their kids/significant other/self, etc.

What a great idea! We leave in a few weeks for a MNSSHP weekend and then again in December- wonder if they will do a CHristmas one too!

Email, email, email the florist! Their email is listed on their site www.disneyflorist.com. Ask about both Halloween AND Christmas!

Maybe you could post a seperate thread with this topic. It may get lost here, and those who may be interested might not see it. I think it's a great idea, and if we were going over halloween or christmas, I'd love to do it.

She wasn't too clear on the "basic" I think mostly because there is no prototype yet. She said they may have one as early as tomorrow.

She did say that you'd get a candy bar, a lollipop and a Stitch antenae topper. But she wasn't 100% sure on quantities. Like only 1 lollipop? And is it a big swirl one or a small, dum-dum one. LOL. As soon as I hear more, I will post it!

Oh, gosh! Now I am sorry that I had to move my Halloween vacation to Christmas. ARG! The Halloween basket sounds adorable and I definitely would have ordered two of them. Double-arg!

Please make sure to post photos of the baskets upon your return. I will be at WDW next Halloween (my favorite time of year to vacation there) and I will definitely order a couple of 'em next year.

I just posted another thread about the specifics of the basket. The CM I spoke to was SOOOO nice. Email her and tell her you want a Halloween theme basket so it's around next year! I'll post pics when I get back!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOO excited about this!!!

I called today and asked about a halloween basket and they told me no, that they wished they had one. Hmmm maybe i just got the wrong person to ask.

We typically visit the world the same week each November and since DW's b'day falls during that week I have used the WDW florist many times to deliver roses and a snack package. It started out as a "special" thing to do for her b'day but after several years now it is kind of a running joke between us and I am reminded repeatedly before we leave to make that the florist has our room "ready" for our arrival.

In case you'd like to see what the Stitch bucket and Stitch plush look like, here is a picture of something I put together for the son of a friend who will be visiting WDW soon.

I have no idea what WDW Florist will do, but I'm sure it will be very cute!
