This was our first 7 day cruise, we did the 4 day last year. I cannot express how much fun we had!!! We ended up meeting Disers at Beaches and Cream the Friday before sailing. This was great to meet up with Musicgirl (Lorie), who we were table mates with, Doingitagain (Marie) who we fast became friends and spent every night with at Rockin Bar D! and many others.

We had Cyprian and Beethoven as servers. They were awesome and very funny. The food was fabulous, and I noted that the beef was much better on the Magic. As always, the service was phenominal every where we went. We had a blast every single night with Musicgirl and Marie's families!! So many laughs :rotfl: . If you ever had a doubt whether to get together with other Disers, just do it. It really made our trip.

Excursions..my DH and DS did David and Ivan ruins tour in Costa Maya. They wanted me to tell you it was outstanding. Ivan did theirs and they were so amazed at his knowledge and loved that he was a native and how he made it so personal. Loved every minute of it. I ended up going to the beach with another Diser and her Mom and we had a blast. On the way back to the ship we stopped for a margarita and got seranaded right there on the beach. It was awesome. The other excursion I want to highly recommend is in Cozumel with Eagle Ray Divers. They were awesome. We had Luis as our guide for snorkeling (first timer here) and we loved it. He took us to an extra reef and the fish were amazing. There were only 9 of us, so he could make it a special experience. My biggest tip here is if you want to do shopping when you get off the snorkeling boat, bring a dry outfit with you so you can change at the shopping center afterward. You'll be soaked and you don't want to take the time to tender back to the ship. I wish I had brought clothes.

We have three teenage boys, ages 18, 14, and 13. They did let my oldest into the Stack, but wasn't going to that first night. I talked to them and they allowed it. They made lots of friends and loved the Stack all week.

We loved the shows, but the best part about this cruise were the Disers we spent so much time with. The time in Rockin Bar D was a blast!! My husband was in the Elvis impersonation contest and I ended up being a judge. After it was all over they gave the wives a free mini facial from the spa, that was awesome!

The ventriloquist was hysterical. Don't miss her adult show, omg, we roared with laughter.

We ate ourselves silly all week. And loved every minute of it. I CAN"T WAIT to book another one! If anyone has any questions, ask away. I miss it already!!!! :)

Sounds like fun. Can't wait for my double dip.

We plan to do David and Ivan's tour. Glad to hear it is so good. :)

We are going in November. We are SSSSSSOOOOOOO looking foward to it. We did a 4 day last year as well.
Do you have the Navigators from you cruise. I wanted to compare them from the first DD.
I am glad that you had a good time.

Thanks!! Reading this was like being there again!!!!

Your report gets me so excited for our cruise!!! Can't Wait!!!

Thanks for sharing your trip report with us. Sounds like you enjoyed your Double Dip cruise as much as we did.

Jillpie,
Thanks for the info! We are on the July 22 DoubleDip and still haven't finalized our plans for Costa Maya or Cozumel.

Did you book your excursions on your own or did you book thru DCL?

Thanks!

We booked them on our own. It was very easy. I just went to their websites and signed up. The David and Ivan tour didn't require a deposit, but Eagle Ray did. I just had to send her 10.00 per person to hold our place. They then send you directions and exactly what to do when you get off the ship.

We are on the DD in September. Would love to check out those sites. Do you have website addy's?

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the report! We're on the July 22 Double Dip and doing both David and Ivan in Costa Maya and Eagle Ray Divers in Cozumel so I can't tell you how happy I am to hear the good reviews! :thumbsup2

I don't know how to post a link, but just google Eagle Ray divers and you'll get there. Its a husband and wife team that run this small company and Chellie is very good at getting back to you with any questions. She is a sweetheart. I can't say enough about them, it was terrific.

I unpacked my green glasses today. Sigh. Maybe I can frame them. I am not sure if I will take them to the Med next summer, it might make me sad missing all the fun we had on this cruise. It will be hard to beat it. The Med will be different, more time in ports and less time on the ship.

We're booked with Eagle Ray for the August double-dip. We're signed up to do the 3-reef tour. What time did you leave the ship to get over to Eagle Ray?

Can't wait for this one!!!!

Thats great you are booked with them. Just bring the directions with you and give to the taxi driver, very easy. We left the ship about 9:30, after getting tendering tickets from Buena Vista theatre. In fact, we were about an hour early for our excursion and they took us at that time! We got back to the shopping district about 3:00 and shopped. And do bring dry shorts and tshirt to change into, bathrooms are right there when you get back to shop.

Thanks so much for replying so quickly.

Whew, I was worried with the tendering that we would be late.
