We need a room for the 4 of us for the 1st night we get into MCO at 11:00pm this Christmas. We will have a car rental, so anywhere close to Disney or MCO is fine. Where do you suggest?

If you're landing that late, it may be easiest to stay near the airport. I would choose an Embassy Suites or something similar with a free breakfast. Embassy Suites near the airport does charge for parking, though, and if I were in your shoes I would make my choice based on free parking since it's only for 1 night.

Otherwise, if you are looking for a quicker AM commute, the Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek is on Disney property, next to Caribbean Beach. I have stayed in the timeshares on this property before and parking was free. Not sure if that is true for the hotel part- you may want to call and ask. Good luck!

For me it would depend on how much I want to spend and how early I am getting up the next morning. If very early I'm staying by airport.

There is a Hyatt Regency inside the airport if it is in your budget. You can pick up your car in the morning and save a few bucks.

Thanks for all the advice. I will try to find a hotel close to Disney as I expect DD & DS wants to go walk around Disney Springs as soon as they get up in the morning. I recalled there are a few hotels close to the outlet mall about 5-10 mins from Disney Springs.

Well, you could book any of the DS hotels, which are all technically walkable to DS, though some are a bit of a far walk. However, DS doesn't really open first thing in the morning, so you might be better off staying elsewhere and driving over a bit later.

The Flamingo Crossing hotels (TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites) would give the four of you room to spread out, free breakfast, and free parking.

The Wyndham Grand is a lovely hotel that is as close to Disney as a Disney hotel, but parking is not free ($22 for self parking) and there's a $35 resort fee, too. Still, we enjoyed our stay there, and it is very convenient to the parks and DS.

I believe all the DS hotels have parking fees, too, though sometimes you can get promotions that waive those fees through Mousesavers or the like. Christmas might not be a likely time for deals, though.

Where are you going the next day?
If you are rope dropping day 1 then I say stay close to Disney.... maybe holliday inn DS
If not stay near the airport.

Probably just relax the next day and check into the resort in the afternoon whenever the room is ready.
